    Does shoulder pain go away?

My right shoulder has been feeling pain for the last 3 days. Does it go away? I hurt it when I was doing the low bar squats. I've been doing the shoulder dislocation exercise but the pain doesn't go away.

I know for me, doing shoulder girdle strengthening warmups made a huge difference. My shoulders were hurting all the time.

Anyway, I started doing a short warmup (on Squat and Bench day) with Band Pull Aparts, Behind the Neck Band Pulldowns, and recently Dislocates. Only takes a minute or two, and for me it's been incredible.

I put together that warmup based on
info from articles posted in that thread I
posted above as well as other info.

Not to highjack this thread too much...but do you have any ideas for a hip warmup on lower days? I already do a similar warmup on upper days. Only difference is I also do scarecrows.

Bands work perfectly for it. Also, who gives a f*ck what the other *ssholes at the gym think? You know that you're doing the right thing and that its for a reason.

All these articles on the internet tell you shoulder pain and rotator cuff problems can go away permanently? Is that true? Or do they just cycle between feeling relieved and flaring up?

My dad still does exercises for his frozen shoulder 3 years after physical therapy, it has greatly improved for sure but it never went away, and it still comes back if he doesn't do his exercises for a week or so.

then again my dad is getting pretty old.

I'm not a PT, but I'm sure it depends on the nature of the injury. Personally, I have arthritis in every major joint and if I don't warm up properly and keep myself mobile I get so stiff and sore I can barely move. If his pain is caused by something minor or an imbalance of sorts, then it could probably be corrected and permanently relieved through proper pre-hab.

No one can answer if your pain is going to go away without someone diagnosing what the actual injury is. You need to know what you are dealing with exactly.
