i guess u guys r right, but i cant keep my diet clean as our indian food is cooked in oil having lott of fats, like butter itself, ghee, or any oil .. not the one i used to use in america.. anyway..
my diet is like
morning - 1 scoop of optimum gold whey in water
breakfast - 3/4 egg whites with 1 yolk..
shake -2/3 banana in half scoop of serious mass in milk
lunch-regular indian food
shake but 1/2 banana in pro complex gainers half scoop ( i ndont think complex gainer help u gain any mass , but it do help u gain muscle mass )
prework out-no explode
post- 1 scoop of optimum when with lotts of sugar
dinner-eggs/chicken or regular indian food
cell mass
before sleeping shake - oats, banana approx 3, n either half a scoop of either serious mas or pro complex gainer or syntha 6 some times
i think i should stop on serious mass...

I'd say get rid of the mass gainer and replace it with a good meal. And another thing, eating extra calories won't pack on more muscle. If you require 3000 calories to build muscle, eat a little over that. Eating 6000 calories won't double your muscle gains, it will just turn into fat.
Read point 3 of this article.

wow the idiocy in this thread. OP, there is no "clean bulk". Your body will store excess calories in adipose tissue where it decides to, this is where your genetics come into play, you cannot decide where your body stores the excess cals. Also, fats are good for you, they aid in hormone production and if you go low on fats, that means low test which in turn means a harder time gaining muscle.
Just stick to what you're doing as a belly means you are eating over your maintenance level which is a perfect way of knowing if you're 'achieving' your bulking caloric goals. If you really want to reduce the 'belly' or further fat gain, then reduce your cals by about 200 and see how your body reacts. Perhaps you are eating too much over maintenance?
Nevertheless, disregard every other post.derp.

This is the reason why I quit trying to gain muscle, because for every pound of muscle I gain I seem to gain 2 pounds of fat around the middle!
I've put the gym on hold for the time being along with the bulking diet. Now I'm concentrating on diet and cardio only and then when I've reached a sufficient bodyfat% I'm going to seek the services of a professional dietician only.
My advice from this forum was to 'bulk', eat big, lift big, aim to eat 500 calorie surplus, ignore macronutrients blah, blah, blah, but I'm dubious about listening to generic advice from people ten years younger than me with different body types who've no clue whatsoever about how my body reacts to food.
Good luck fella.

You can't do spot fat reduction or target specific areas for fat gain. It is simply a result of consuming more calories than you are burning. As another poster mentioned, where fat is gained is determined by genetics and our centre of gravity. To some extent, that process is necessary for building muscle, though there is no point eating well above maintenance since it will only store excess calories as fat and provide no additional benefit than eating just over maintenance.
If you want to stay lean while bulking, try eating just over your maintenance calories. Your second option is to eat all your starchy carbs post work out. Alternatively, a lot of posters have had success with the leangains.com approach (intermittent fasting). The last option is to just accept that you'll have a bit of fat gain and diet it off later.

Not to be nit-picky here but you've contradicted yourself in your above post. Sorry, but it's a pet peeve of mine.
Also, I read point 3. It seems to me that this is directed at extreme bulking diets (6000+ calories) that would almost guarantee that excess fat be readily stored. As you've stated, +500 or +600 calories should be enough for a decent bulk (from what I can gather on this website and other anecdotal evidence).
To that end, it doesn't make sense that eating a maintenance diet would achieve any sort of significant muscular gains. And, perhaps that is exactly what this particular number (referencing Number 3 on the cited article) was trying to achieve; it just wasn't achieved very precisely; more crude if anything. And, as always, it's an e-article with no citations whatsoever. Again, this is an annoyance and I've taken this article, as should everyone else, with a grain of salt.
It was an interesting read, nonetheless. The 2 grams of protein / lb of lean muscle will be filed away for when I start my bulking regimen.
OP: Yes. You need to clean up your diet. I understand that Indian food is prepared in oils and fats; perhaps it's time to give that up. As I don't know the food climate in Delhi, I can't provide you with proper food tips. At the bare minimum, try to eliminate as much oil as possible.
Good luck.
