Can-Fit Pro PTS theory exam help?

hi, i've attempted the can-fit pro pts theory exam a couple of times now and i'm having troubles with it. i'm getting in the high 60's on the case study and low 70's on the multiple choice. i have found an online practice exam but would anyone know of anything they have used and it was worth it? or is it just better to use the study guide/the text?

I mean no offence when I say this, but if you cannot pass the theory part of the CFP exam then you seriously need to go back to the basics and read as much as you can and educate yourself about training and so on.

The CFP exam is one of the most basic, on the surface exams that you can write to become a PT. Read as much as you can and learn as much as you can before you decide to write the exam again

    Ditto.

That's how I went about it. This is considered to be the easiest cert of all, so go over their study manuels until you're blue in the face and you should be fine. Good luck.

I hit the text hardcore for two days before the exam and failed by one percent. Read a chapter a day and make sure your formulas and acronyms are in order and you'll be fine.

Read the book, know it well and you'll pass... Know your muscles and which exercises go with them in the case study. I found the case study longer than I thought. Read the case study well... I'm 52 and I passed it, so anyone can, it's pretty basic...

I jus got my PTS about a month ago.

The only advice i could give you is to read the book everyday and try to "Learn" and apply the info at the gym everyday. I would read a chapter a day then try to explain aspects of what i learned to my workout partner while we where working out. I find the more i repeat things the better it sicks in my head, rather then jus trying to "Memorize" it.

Take your time "Learn" what your reading don't "Memorize"

Good Luck and keep us posted!!

Honestly the book they give you is your best source of information. I skipped the course and just took the exam and got 93% on it just from reviewing the book the week prior to the exam.

just wanna ask u if the theory exam was exactly or based on the study guide booklet they give you with the package cuz i find that easy but i did the online practice exam and it was so hard and different from the study guide booklet because from the online thing they kind of expected you to know every detail but for the booklet its just kind of the main ideas so i just wanna know

Hey everyone! I made some study cards to help us all out. Forum won't let me post links, so just go to flashcardexchange (dot) com and search for "can-fit-pro". My username is "ladymsdiva".

Please pass them around to whoever you think might need them...good luck everyone!

HI, I been searching the internet like crazy to find this practice test, can you lead me to the link, I can't find it anywhere. Is there anybody out there that can help me. Been studying for 2 wks, 6-7 hrs/day, (no previous personal training experience), I so nervous. I'm only at chapter 5, of 13. I don't know how anybody can say, they read the book for 2 days and aced the exam, must be a speed reading and a medical genius.
I just want the practice exam to see if I'm on the right track with me studying. PLEASE, ANYBODY THAT CAN HELP, I'd appreciate it soooo much.

I got certified through canfitpro, the study guide is very helpful. I did everything in the book and the majority of it was on the theory exam. I'd suggest highlighting everything mentioned in the studyguide in your main text and focus on studying that information. Also, use the multiple choice in the study guide as a pretest. Once youve done all of the questions go through and see which ones you got wrong. Study the questions you got wrong because they will most likely be on the exam. Hope this helped!! Good luck

    Names of Text books

What are the names of the textbooks for the PTS program? I'm registering soon but my courses might not even be until September 2012.

Hi there, I'm taking my CanFitPro PTS theory exam next week, has anybody taken theirs recently who can give me insight into what to expect from the theory exam, especially what the Case Study questions might be like? A few examples of those questions would be helpful.💪 Thanks!
