people say this on here all the time, while various experiments have been done of articial sweeteners and haven't found them to be detrimental to humans at all. also they've been around nearly half a decade now, with no side effects noticed yet. and as far as i know it is acidic as orange juice, or other fruit juice.

Why would you want to drink coke anyway?
It's sugar-filled trash. I would not be even able to drink it anymore.Workout journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=116712111

Coke has loads of sugar in it. Enough to fully dissolve a healthy tooth in one week if the tooth if fully emerged. Diet coke however has no sugar, it has aspartame. While aspartame is not good for the human body, there is no where near the amount in diet coke to do anything bad to you. I have friends who drink diet pop up until a week or two before competitions and they always come in shredded. I myaelf don't really drink pop anymore because I think fruit juices taste better, but if you do drink a diet pop you will not be ingesting the mass amount of sugar your regularly would from a regular pop, but you will be taking in aspartame which is never good for you, but the amount is so small it won't hurt you anyways.

i never drink regular coke, just diet. also i drink over a gallon of water a day, along with 1 whole can of diet coke. it's just annoying hearing people tell you it's gonna kill you
theres a reason your still skinny fat. you sit on the computer and ask dumb questions. First of all dont drink either ones filled with sugar and the other still has caffine and aspertame. Only drink water, green tea, milk and of course shakes. Now go workout.Last edited by JiP; 07-05-2008 at 08:56 AM.

i was unaware caffeine did that. i just checked some studies on google and none of them stated doses. do you know how much it is? i negged you for saying i'm still skinnyfat because i'm lazy, while it's because i started out as a weak fatass a year ago. also inspired a new user title
edit - the dose to cause an issue was 3mg per kg of weight. which would be about 250mg a day. that's 6 cans of diet coke a dayLast edited by JiP; 07-05-2008 at 09:16 AM.

right i never meant that that you were lazy...i meant that you could be using your time better. think about it if you bike to work and such then you must not have that much time and this will be true. im not sure about the dose..i learned about it in one of dr. john berardi's articles on http://www.t-nation.com i reccomend them. I know for a fact that he reccomends green tea, which has a small caffine dose howevere pop and coffee have a large caffine dose if thats helpful. personnaly all i drink is water, green tea, milk and shakes.
