almost 35, need to lose gut and gain some muscle.. can I do it in 2 months?

I'm about 5'7 and 160 lbs.. I'm relatively thin but got a slight gut and no muscles.
I would like to lose that gut and look good in t-shirts (or at least look not bad with that gut).
Would it be possible to get rid of that while building some muscles elsewhere within 2 months?

Right now haven't gone to the gym in 2 months but when I did, I followed one of the basic guides here.. full body work outs 3x a week using lesser weights as I progress through the weeks. I play basketball and tennis weekly for two hours

My diet last week was like this:
    Saturday:
    11am bbq cheeseburger, fries
    6pm broccoli, beef, white rice

    Sunday:
7am portuguese sausages, eggs, white rice
    11am bbq cheeseburger fries
    6pm broccoli, beef, white rice

    Monday:
    11:30am Spaghetti w/chicken
    6pm subway footlong steak sub

    Tuesday:
11am Turkey meatloaf, salad, pineapple, brown rice
6pm Chicken Curry, brown rice, mango, pineapple

    Wednesday:
    11am 2 slices of Pizza
    7pm Chicken Curry, brown rice
    8pm 1 chocochip cookie

    Thursday:
    11am Baked spaghetti, salad, pineapple
    4pm 1 chocochip cookie
7pm Chicken Curry, Tofu, brown rice

    Friday:
11am Baked chicken, brown rice, salad, pineapple
    7pm 6 plates of sushi
    10pm bag of unsalted almonds

the reason for two meals a day on several days is simply because I wake up too late for breakfast

Maybe look at leangains since you are skipping breakfast half the time anyhow... skip breakfast, eat more carbs on workout days, fewer on days you dont work out.

I would like to but due to work I sleep around 2-3pm, thus wake up after breakfast time.

No need to "eat more often". I eat two meals a day during the week and can lose weight just fine. You need to track calories in what you're eating and cut. Also make sure you get enough protein and dietary fat everyday... Micromanage that ****!!! And then do cardio and weights. Doesn't matter if you do cardio with weights, just don't do it before otherwise you burn yourself out. Weights will burn more energy in the long run while preserving more muscle!!!

In two months you'll def look a lot better, but it all depends mostly on your diet.

we're about the same size and weight but you certainly have more muscle than I.
as for weights do you recommend the less but heavy or light but more reps?

Figure out what your daily calorie requirements are using BMR calculator and create a 1000 deficit per day through calorie reduction and exercise while keeping protein high (150-200 grams)to maintain any lean body mass you have and you will lose 2lbs of mostly fat per week.

In 2 months you can make a heck of a difference that's for sure, will you have your dream body? Probably not in 2 months, but on the road to being healthy anyway.

Just do three things, eat less calories per day (more often), work out more, and make sure your diet is focused more on lean protein and complex carbs

Based on what I've seen IRL, as well as what I've read on this site, it takes most beginners a couple of months just to half-way figure out what they need to be doing, if they even last that long.

So, no, realistically, it's not possible.
    No brain, no gain.
