I heard that there was a case in which a father had to smuggle out a drug from another country into the United States for his son after he was bit from a spider. apparently the drug was banned but the alternative was too harsh. The doctor agreed to administer it under illegal pretenses in silence.

Not surprised. Like I said since I have been researching this area I have come across many similar stories.

I highly recommend you join the FB forum I linked to in first post. Some of the people in that group have been using this therapy for years for a myriad of problems. They will be able to help you more than I. I have literally been reading around this as regards an application to Crohn’s disease.

I will still have dig for you later though.

They will die of old age at 3-5 years.
If I ever need to get rid of them though, I can pop a pill from local chemist and it’s instant worm annihilation.
The deal I’m on with the provider means they will re-supply me at any point within 3 years, even if I purposely get rid of them.

    not a very bright idea

for one you have no way of telling what type of worm larva you let burrow inside you

and two there is a very real chance they end up inside of your heart or lungs instead of your intestines

Of course, there is an element of trust involved with the suppliers of the worms. I have to say though, I have been impressed with the professionalism and care shown by the company I went with. It's not like I have walked about barefoot in an African latrine to gain an infection. I personally have no doubt they have supplied me with the correct species.

I have also done a hell of a lot of research, and personally talked to many people who have hosted these organisms for years, will no ill effects. Bear in mind also, up to 25% of the current world population do host these organisms. Unless you are malnourished, or have a an uncontrolled infestation of these things, then the risks are minimal.

At the end of the day there is always some element of risk in any venture. As I stated, my alternative, which is the accepted medical route, is harsh immuno-suppressive drug which carries risks of it's own, including leukaemia, amongst other things.

Having said all that, my advice to anyone considering this would always be to do their own research, weigh up the risks and benefits and make your own decision.

EDIT: Just watched your link. Off the bat, they are not 'flesh eating'. When mature, they anchor to your gut and take a minute amount of blood. You've posted a rather sensationalist video, that at the end of the day has been made for entertainment purposes. It re-enforces the myth that all 'bugs' are bad.

Scientists and Dr's at research universities are currently executing controlled, double blind trials with this exact speices. If there were major dangers these trials would not be allowed to take place.

They will die after 3-5 years. They won't itch though. They spend entire life in the gut.
Believe pin worms migrate to the angus to lay eggs, which causes the itch.

Respect, i think you did the right think. Most of these chronic diseases are best cured with holistic treatments as the healthy human body should be able to heal itself.

Yeh for some reason helminths apparently help with auto immune diseases, for reasons unknown.

    those are pin worms

OP i was always told by my parasitic prof. that they use T.Suis (a pig worm) so prolonged infection doesn't occur. using hookworms seems... ill advised

btw why couldnt you do this 6 months ago, my prof would have love to follow this

I'm sorry you can't open your mind to this brah. Or are you just squeamish about the thought of it?

There is plenty of science behind this & It's not like the worms are harmful . There are no major downsides. Worst that can happen is I'm one of the 20% it doesn't benefit and I lose the money it cost. I've still got meds from doctor and surgery waiting for me if required.

Cheers brah. I've come to same way of thinking.
The long term side effects are not documented at all.... Only short term. I'm a test subject for various crohn's treatments and I told them to fuk off when they came at me with this worm thing (I live in the US BTW).

These research scientists at Edinburgh university are turning the worm into a reproduceble drug. That's years away though, so I'll have to use the real thing until then. http://maizelsgroup.biology.ed.ac.uk/

    what the fuk.

also, you think you won't be nutrient deficient when you have 100s of little hookworms eating up your food?
Nope. They are pin worms. I have hookworms.

I will be taking a controlled dose of conservative numbers. They do not become a problem unless you have a poor diet or are totally infested. See immediately below for why they can't increase in numbers within host.

Yes. A company called Ovamed uses these, see link at bottom of OP. They were pioneering in this field. However, this is very expensive way of treating as the worms only last 2 weeks and you have to top up again.

Human hook and whip worm are now advocated precisely because you do no not need to top up for long periods. They are perfectly safe in controlled numbers. Their life cycle is such that they cannot increase in numbers within the host, as eggs have to pass out the body and mature.

As a fail safe. If needed you can immediately kill of the entire population with one readily available tablet from the chemist.

subbed. this is very similar to the view I take on the immune system and health in general. I think we need to be less clean (srs).

repped for new info, have never heard of doing this with exposure to worms specifically.

Yes they are. Up to 25% of the world's population still live with them, so long term effects (or lack of them) are very well known. Complications arise when you have a combination of poor diet and health care combined with uncontrolled infestations of helminths, possibly different species at same time.

Anecdotal evidence I know, but I have now talked to many westerners who have hosted controlled populations for many years now. Only bad thing I heard in terms on long term issues; one guy reckoned he became less tolerant to gluten after several years of worms.

Personally I can't see why you would rather be used as a guinea pig for a new drug on trial, with completely unknown sides, than try something that billions of people live with on a daily basis. Of these people, only the very worst off of those ever suffer as a result. Bear in mind, if I ever change my mind, one pill and the worms are gone.

    Update 1
It's been exactly a week since I inoculated myself. I have had no adverse affects so far. Rash on arm is barely visible now.

Dun goofed a bit as I puked the morning after St Paddy's because of over indulging. This is the exact time when worms would be making their way to my gut. Chances are a few of took a ride to the sewers.

Having said that, I reckon most must've made it, as I seem to be getting the 'worm bounce' that I have heard about from other users. It's a short lived period of up to a fortnight that can start from day 5, whereby you get sudden relief from your disease symptoms. As you know, if you have read from the beginning, I have CD and I suddenly start getting relief 2 days ago.

Unfortunately, I will go back to normal soon, and have to wait until week 10 before the permanent effects kick in. I will enjoy it while it lasts though.

Link below is a comprehensive timeline for worm inoculation, including expected effects on the body:
    http://www.foodsmatter.com/natural_m...line-03-12.pdf

    So far so good though.
