i only punched 1 guy as an adult he had me pinned down on floor i spun him round and boom 1 punch to eye ko him bust eye open had blak eye for weeks.

im going2 punch guy due me money but worried i kill him or do no damage at all.

reality is u can kill someone with 1 punch or brain damage if i done that id go to jail.

u can kill someone hit a small hammer at temple.....speed plus a small hard boney fist potentially can do a lot of damage more than a slow chunky fist punch

lol. I used to have a bit of a short fuse and would hit stuff every now and then. Never anything stupid though until I punched a padded wall before a basketball game. I didn't pull back or anything but basically punched from the chest fairly hard. Pushed every bone in my hand up over my wrist breaking who knows how much. I just pushed the bones back in place and considered playing anyway. My hand was 4x as big. Needed 4 pins. Damn wall needed more padding! Stopped hitting **** from that day forward.

You can get electronic devices that measure punching power, not that expensive for one, unless you buy the best used in some pro gyms.

Rebreakable boards that have specific force needed to break e.g. black board where I am is 170 psi (pounds per square inch) needed to break, so you can break say 4 (together no spaces in between in holder) that is 680psi a very hard punch. Not entirely accurate measure of power breaking boards of course but fun to do if you have them and not expensive to buy either if you don't. Most not all MMA fighters hit like GIRLS and are weak compared to boxers, most not all trying 4 black boards would break or injure their hand.

Regarding power in punches MMA is NOT nor ever will be the optimum way to punch with power, anyone suggesting otherwise is frankly an Imbecile e.g. the boxers jab is designed to annoy and set up the right, the jab is not intended to KO people or really hurt them BUT that does not mean you can punch with devastating power with the lead hand for you certainly can just not with a boxers jab.

So technique & body mechanics are crucial, go practice a boxers jab all your life you will NEVER reach your maximum punching power potential with your lead hand throwing such a punch - IMPOSSIBLE!


Electronic devices, rebreakable boards etc are good but equally so is good training partner with focus mitts and shields they can feedback on your power and if it is increasing and you can tell yourself from the impact.
