It is not unusual for powerlifters to dehydrate in order to make weight, and then fail lifts that they made in training.

You guys realize that he won his class, right? So what you are saying is that the 220 class in that meet was very very weak.

this isn't a case of diminshing returns. obviously BW/weight lifted ratios favor smaller guys. a 220 powerlifter not being able to bench 330 is just a case of being average/weak for his size. for the amount of chit he talks many people expected alot more out of him. lifting for 20 years and putting up that weight at 220 and talking tons of chit, he deserves to eat chit.
