My dad has an a5, the 2.0t to be exact. I love it, never driven the bmw, but the audi is better looking and nicer on the inside from what i've read. Don't let the 2.0 fool you, the audi drives itself with much more enthusiasm than the 211 horses make you believe, it has mountains of torque that all come in the low-midrange. On the highway it'll get beat, but around town i'd be willing to bet it feels just as quick if not quicker. And the standard awd makes it better for all conditions without sacrificing the sporty feel. And don't be put off by the audi reliability issues, those are for the most part long gone. My dads got 30,000 on his so far and has had 0 issues. Plus 30mpg highway is hard to beat in this segment.

S5 50 something grand and BMW 335 40 something grand. Unfair match up, but I would take the 335 and put 10 g in and it would work the S5.

so is the 2.0. Even easier than that is doing a chip for the audi, bumps the hp up to around 260, torque close to 300 ft. pounds, and gets you better mileage to boot.

BMW 335's have the turbos and apparently the turbos are faulty. For this reason I would say go with the A5.

Not sure what the A5`s are going for used these days, but I would rather pick up a used RS4 if the price is close. Twice the car.
