Still sticking around here keepin' an eye out on ya, Nick!
See you've been thrown into the loop of people hating on you for working hard. For real, forget them. You don't need them, stay positive and re-inforce that with positive people around you.
If worse comes to worse, take these lyrics for what they're worth:
'Had to scratch and fight,
To stay on my feet,
With a heart made of steel,
I smash through everything'
Gonna be putting new progress pics up in the next few weeks... pics up now are 2+ months old now... (boo!)
Will continue to chime in every now and then, keep up the hard work brother!Train Hard! -

So, do you just do 15 mins of HIIT for your cardio? Or do you just run straight forward until the time is done? Also, what are some cheaper subsitutes for the yogurt, spinach tortillas, and the protein bars? I'm kind of on a budget. Thanks.

I was in a hurry to get out of town and go to my grandfathers birthday party which was about 3 and a half hours away. Not making any excuses, I trained in the morning working the legs to death as well as abs for about 2 hours!! (Kurt, bumped it up just for you!)..Hoping to bump it up even more within the coming months. That burn felt great!! Trying to get the mass packed onto the suckers as fast as possible! It's going to take some hard work, but I am for it! I know it takes hard work and consistency, and that's exactly what I plan on putting into them as well as every other muscle in my body. Legs started to cramp up as I was driving north..So I stretched on the way there every time we took a piss stop. I am really learning to love leg day, as I never used to and dreaded it! Now that I have started to really work them, I see the definition coming through. Progress makes you hungrier!! The trip was a total of 500 miles and I plan on sleeping like a baby tonight!! Picked up this months issue of Muscle and Fitness thanks to my friends here on BB.com letting me know my ad came out for BB.com. Very happy with how it turned out! I picked up about 4-5 issues for my family and the lady at the checkstand was like "You know you got 5 of the same magazines right?" I said "Yeah.." She said "...You're in it aren't you.."..I said "Yeah"..She was like "What page?! What page!?" I started crackin up. It's a great feeling...kind of an unreal feeling, like never in a million years did you think you would get such an awesome opportunity. I owe it all to BB.com and everyone on here who have supported me, helped me and pushed me to get to where I am today. So thank you all!!!!!!
Tomorrow, Bi's, Tri's, Forearms and Abs!! Excited!
Have a great night and THE MACROS WILL BE UP THIS WEEK!

I really do appreciate that, and yeah...it's nothin. I like those lyrics too bro, good stuff! Let me know when those progress pics are up! Keep on training hard!
Pretty much straight forward! I always try to keep the high intensity with everything! I think it helps a lot! Being on a budget is hard when eating healthy, my friend just mentioned this the other day...sometimes eating healthy can be really really expensive!!!!! My guess is to just go with and do what you can..I know that most health markets are pretty expensive..So my advice is to see what's out there....For instance..Henry's had 2 boxes of GoLean for 2.00!!!!!! Went to Ralphs today....and they were like 4.55 each!
So see what's out there.*** http://www.AnaxMethods.com/ ***

Haha, thanks Kurt!...They call em "Deads" for a reason uh!?..Once I get my squats past 320 for more than 1 rep..shooting for 6-8..then I will be happy!!!!!! But that's later down the line...it's comin though!!
I currently am a certified ER-CPT and am deciding on my next certification which may be between NASM or ACE..I also want to go for something in more of the nutritional field as well..This all takes time though..and $$$.
Lol, dishes?
So far so good, I will do whatever I got to do to put a little more mass on these guys..I have seen a diference since I really started to train em', so I am going to stick with this routine for awhile.
Thanks man.
Henry's definitely FTW! This place is one of my favorites. They have great meat as well.*** http://www.AnaxMethods.com/ ***

nick, just wanted to say great job all around....just wanted to ask:
Have you tried resistance bands at all? I think you can get some good results from certain exercises. I think the weight level you're at can be equaled by some bands (i use terrell owens' bodylastic bands). I think they can definitely help you fine tune certain areas and maybe use them as your final exercise to get a better burn?
I love free weights myself, but i'm stuck using bands right now. However, once i go back to weights i'll keep using bands for my abs because i've never felt my abs worked with weights like I do with bands. If you can, try bands instead of cable crunches. Instead of holding the band's handles with my hands like you would a cable, I attach them to velcro straps right around my elbows to get a better crunching motion. I also like strapping bands to my lower thighs (anchored to a door), lay down, and i do legs raises with knees bent. Ultimate burn and really recruits my whole core to do the motion.
Keep up the great work man.Last edited by sixthman6; 08-04-2008 at 03:49 PM.

Wasn't sure how I was going to feel today after a 3 day trip up north, being that I was a little exhausted...but I was surprised!..My recovery time was around 30-45 seconds between sets and that felt great! Pumped up the Bleeding Through (Orange County Hardcore)..and the intensity kicked in!!..I get in a zone when I workout..and I'm sure people think I am crazy because I get all into it..specially when the breakdown hits!! (Nothing beats a double bass pedal with heavy guitar!!) A friend of mine told me that before he knew me..he though I was crazy..and says he still does! Lol..I do whatever I got to do to get through an intense workout! I'm happy with where I am at right now as far as lifting stats go and only hope to progress as the weeks\months go on. I'm get off work tomorrow around noon and look forward to hitting up the pool..ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...I'll be out there for a couple hours with my buddy Trey..and then will be working on back, abs, and cardio tomorrow afternoon.
Talk to you all soon!

Great workouts, journal and lifestyle Nick. I know what you mean about eating things plain. I think for me its half laziness but I tend to not add too much seasonings if any also. If anything, its a little garlic salt, cheyenne pepper, or parsley. Those are my staples. I used to eat oatmeal with milk and lots of brown sugar. Then I switched to brown sugar and water. For about 6 weeks now I've just been eating it plain and now I love it that way, lol.
Props for the consistency you've attained with your diet! Great motivation for myself to try and take it to yet another level.
Grats on your recent spread too.wut?
