Current diet: Currently I'm bulking, using "IIFYM" method. I'm aiming for around 400+ grams of a carbs, 200+ grams of protein, and 50-60g of fat a day.
Workout Routine: I follow Jim Wendler's 5-3-1 powerlifting workout, so I lift 4 days a week with no cardio.
I lift every other day and the workouts are consist of the following:
Military Press + Assistant Exercise
Deadlift + Assistant Exercise
Bench Press + Assistant Exercise
Squats + Assistant Exercise
*Assistant Exercise are basically any exercise of your choosing, but on shoulder and chest day they are mostly back exercises such as pull ups and bent over rows
In Jim Wendler's 5-3-1 workout, the rep range of my primary lifts (Bench Press, Military Press, Squats and Deadlifts) are between 1-8 reps so the workouts are very tough. This is why I can not weight to get on that Muscle Pharm Assault, I hope through this experiences I can break some more PRs.

First time Experience of Muscle Pharm Assault
First off I would like to thank you Drew for giving me this opportunity to log this product.
So today I woke up went on the original Muscle Pharm promotion post to check up on everyone’s update and log then I saw Kyanangelo, who already got his Assault yesterday. I was like “OH **** I’m definitely getting mine today”, went out and open my door and “BAM” there it was. Today was leg day so thank god it arrived on time hahaha.
First Impression: The first thing I notice when I open my tub of Assault was the scoop, it was the size of a scoop you would find used in whey protein tubs. This was the biggest serving of preworkout supplement I have ever used but I understand exactly why. This Muscle Pharm Assault is more than your average preworkout supplement; it’s more like 4 different product mix in 1. You got your Preworkout stimulus, BCAAs, Creatine and Electrolytes. Although all of which are in small quantities, the ingredients are premium graded. How I know? You got your German graded creatine, Creapure and Vitamin B-12 from Methylcobalamin instead of cyanocobalamin which is the cheaper form.
Muscle Pharm Assault
Mixability: I mixed a full scoop of Assault in 10oz of room temperature filtered water. Shook it bit, didn’t notice any clumps, though there was a thin layer of foam.
Texture: I had the Raspberry Lemonade flavor; it had a cloudy pink color to it.
Taste: I got to say I was kind of disappointed with the taste of the Raspberry Lemonade, it just didn’t do it for me I had to chug it down. It didn’t have any aftertaste, but the flavor was just off.
Experience: I took the Assault 15mins before my workout and felt the tingle within 10 mins.
Energy: Today’s leg workout lasted 1 hour because I went through my workout to pretty fast. My rest periods were between 30-60 seconds. There wasn’t any burst of energy but a steady release of energy. I felt good no crashes.
Focus: Definitely on the money, had muscle on mind connection on every rep.Product Reviews

Thanks “emergency” for the tip. After I gave the Assault tub a good shake it did taste a lot better
Today was Shoulder/Back and Biceps
I took 1 scoop of Assault when I got to the gym, I stretched a bit and worked out 15mins in.
Workout: 5-3-1 week
Standing Military 8 sets total not including warm ups:
(75% of estimated max) x 5, (85% of estimated max) x 3, (95% of estimated max)x 6
Next 5 sets I did 10 reps each with 75% of estimated max weight.
* Definitely felt that Assault kicking in, I literary zoned in and knocked out those reps fast as **** I was sooo pumped. The weight felt like nothing, I pushed the weight up so fast each rep like was .5 sec long haha. I’ll say that was a good thing because the movement was very explosive. Shoulders were numb after the 8 sets.
Body Weight Pull ups:
50 total reps.
This was about 30 mins in the workout I wouldn’t stop yawning between sets. I think it was because it was so boring.
Close Grip Pull downs:
3 sets of 12 reps
The yawning stopped and I was back on track
Machine Lateral Raise:
3 sets of 15
I superset it with the Close Grip pull downs to be time efficient.
DB Shrugs:
3 sets of 20 reps
Standing DB Curls:
3 sets of 5
I worked out around 3pm and now is almost 12am and did not experience any crashes. Overall, great workout definitely broke PR on military press and have a good feeling about Assault
*Did not experience any lactic acid during my sets, that beta alanine kick in.Product Reviews

Seated Close Grip Rows :
3 sets around 12-15 reps
Didn’t really pay attention about the weight just the squeeze.
Cable Triceps Push Downs:
All the cable machines don’t label weights just levels (1-20), so I just picked a weight and performed 3 sets of 12-15 reps with.
**Workout went great, time went by so fast after all that I wish I would go another round but my muscles were dead. My whole upper body is sore as hell!! Assault pushed me to my limits, consistent energy throughout the workout no spikes or crash.Last edited by CR56BB; 01-15-2012 at 07:42 AM.

Leg Day
Preworkout: Muscle Pharm Assault (20mins before workout)
10mins of stretching
10mins of stationary bike (warm up, fuark as my body gets warm the beta alanine kicked in and my body became itchy as SHIP)
3 sets of 100lb leg extension 15 reps ( Nice and Slow)
4 sets of 135 Front Squats 12 reps
8 sets of leg press (I position my close together about 5-8inches apart and high on the platform)
*4 plates on each side 20 reps each (I focus on contracting and flexing the muscle rather than pushing the weight like a mindless robot. The rep was done at 1-2-1 tempo. )
3 sets of leg curl
135lbs x 15 reps
Seated calf raise
4 sets of 20 reps with 2 plats (again here I focus on stretching my calf on every rep and all the way up, nice and slow )
~Great leg workout, legs were dead. However, I do notice that Assault didn't give me the pump I was looking for. For the last set of leg press I did drop set(S), my legs were shakey when done but they dont felt like they were gonna explode. Oh well off to deload week.Product Reviews
