What do you guys think?
Seems cheap to me, but I don't know anything about this type of equipment. I do know the only thing that I am really lacking in my home gym is a lat pulldown machine.

Am I asking too much for these things? I thought I'd see a lot of action on this... I know I'd be all over it if I was in the market for these:

old post, but 2x100lb Hampton Plates - $50 (Newark, DE)
http://delaware.craigslist.org/spo/1714190574.html
(2) 100lb Hampton Plates. Great Condition.
Came across these trying to find some locally, fortunately I ended up grabbing a body solid vertical leg press + 2x100lb CAP Plates for $50 total, so felt like I made out ok, although may try and flip leg pressLast edited by TrojanDomer; 05-18-2010 at 01:29 PM.

It looks like you just posted them a couple days ago? And you posted two calf raise machines yourself? Always takes a little while to sell this stuff but probably longer if you are selling against yourself.
Prices for the 45s seem fine. I just let the ads run for a couple weeks then drop the price if there's no interest.
I have a couple Olympic sets listed and got an email from a guy with questions. He said he'd be over and then backed out at the last minute ("I got tasked at work with some project and can't make it until the weekend. If you have to sell, I understand'.) Later that same night, the same guy replied to another ad I had and told me 'I have a set like this and really like them. What is your best price?" I wrote back 'They are not as nice as the other ones you were asking about...'. Surprisingly, I have not heard back from him.....

I've had the Cybex calf raise posted since last monday... started at $250 now down to $180. I've only received 3 hits on it and they both fell through. One guy was saying "I cant imagine spending that much on something that focuses on 1 muscle group" and I'm sitting here thinking to myself that they have to be kidding me! The damn calf muscle is one of the most seen muscles on your body... I'm selling 2 commercial machines for under $200 when you cant even find a sporting goods store one for this cheap. I know I must have them priced right, I just have to wait for the educated equipment buyer to come along I guess...
The weight plates I'm also kind of confused about, a little over a year ago I sold a bunch of plates for $.50c per LB and in the first day I posted them I had 10 emails about them and they were all taken. Now I'm not getting any hits on these things. I guess it goes to show you what happens when more and more people get the hang of this craigslist thing...[]---[] Ivanko Barbell Crew #58 []---[]

I had a promax seated calf raise up for sale several months ago. Took forever to sell but got around 200 for it. Had a few hits over that time, but only 1 guy ever saw it and I delivered which kinda helped influence him as it put him on the spot. I was going that way regardless so didn't mind. It was in pretty good shape, but a different model(black with weight pegs to the left and right). Oly weight seems good. I've gotten ~.50/lb+ on new weight, and generally let beat up go for .40-.45 when I end up with it. I think it also depends on your timing. Begininning of the year I was selling stuff left and right at asking prices (probably new years, and sold stuff pretty good to the "get jacked for spring break" people too). Lately, I've just been getting fewer hits in general, but I also only have a cable crossover up right now which I guess is a specialized piece...
Back to the calf raise, a guy tried to say he could get one at target for $150...yeah buddy, ok... I'm done with you.

Hey guys i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the body solid pro club line smith machine. The seller is selling it for $50 but the steel rods need to be replaced. The machine was purchased used by the buyer. I may pick it up and hope that replacing the rods wont be to much of a challenge or expense.

At seventy-five cents a pound for the total weight you are selling, it would come to around $300. And you are throwing in a rack. I would try at least $275 and see what happens. You can always come down, but if they are in very good shape and the rack is clean, you probably will not need to drop the price. New hexes go for way over a dollar a pound. Dick's sells a 50lb hex for $79.99 online....

I dont even know how I'd ship this stuff... It would probably cost more than I'm selling the machine for.
This one is in perfect shape and is the current model according to promaxima's website. I guess I just have to wait for someone who is serious about lifting to come across it. The Cybex one is in great mechanical shape and the pads are new but it could use to be repainted. Still its a great machine.
For the plates, they are brand new and came with a Cybex Leg Press I picked up. I would think at $.50c per LB they would be popular but I guess not. There was a set of 25's and 35's that came wtih them too but they were old and crappy. Surprisingly they sold the first day I posted them!! LOL[]---[] Ivanko Barbell Crew #58 []---[]

CL Score
I just scored a Parabody Glute-Ham for $50. It's got a little rust, but it's solid. I could probably turn around and at least double my money if I wanted. I figured for $50, I couldn't go wrong. It sure beats paying for a new GHR. I was seriously considering buying a Sorinex GHR for $600+ since I haven't been able to find any GHR locally for a long time. Worst case, I re-sell and use the $$$ to finance an upgrade. I'll be taking a wire brush and some Black Rustoleum to it before it makes it's way down to the basement.

That's a sweet deal. If it's sturdy, I would keep it. My GHD is the most expensive thing in my gym due to the fact I bought it new. Even my power rack, which is a monster was cheaper. If it is sturdy and looks good after painting it would be a great deal. Although I did upgrade from an entry level GHD to a mid-high end one and it is nicer and more comfortable. At a minimum if you do keep it, I would weld a larger footplate on. That's one of the things that changed when I upgraded, and I like it a lot.
Also, on CL a full size basketball scoreboard - $300. This would be sweet just to have, although I have no real use for it. If I was younger (read: single...er) or lived in a bachelor pad I could see it being an entertaining accessory for drunken debates/ general dicking around.

Lastly, check out my post about the Powerblock Sport Big Block Kit if you're interested in upgrading.

***Just saw this:
Schwinn Airdyne (white model w/ what looks like a digital monitor) - $200

Not a terrible price and he says it's in good shape, could always try to get it even cheaper.Last edited by Mitrovski; 05-19-2010 at 08:01 PM.
