The reason for this is because the other chocolate-based B&J offerings I find are too overpowering for the rest of the product. I like chocolate, but there's no point if it's at the expense of the rest of the formula. And my fear was realized when I tried this flavor. The chocolate base is simply too strong, so I can't appreciate the white chocolate chunks or the walnuts (unless they get stuck in my teeth) or the pecans.
Couldn't agree with you more.. I think this is why I dislike this pint so much, due to the "rich" overpowering chocolate base!

^This! Plus Banana Split are way better than Chunky Monkey as far as B&J's banana flavors go..

Okay, I had another pint of Talenti Sea Salt Caramel. It was 3rd or 4th time having it, but this time was different. Oddly, this pint had less of the mini Rolo-like caramel filled chocolate mix-ins. I was slightly disappointed at first, but then I thought that this would allow me to really put Talenti's SSC base to the test on its own. I'm still sticking with my 9-9.3/10 rating that I've always had for it; the pint would still have outstanding ratings without the caramel chocolate mix-ins. As you know, the base is superbly rich and creamy. Ever bite has a note of caramel that can't be escaped.

If you're on the west coast, seems like pretty much every store has it. Not sure about elsewhere. Others could chime in.

HNNNGG.. Must get my hands on that STAT. I've been thinking about picking up Talenti's version of this flavor. Cherry and amaretto/almond flavors strike every chord in my italian body, lots of love for that combo

Anyone test the Haagen-Dazs Chocolate Chip Gelato as of yet? I found it at my local gas station and almost got it, but didn't know if anyone has tested it or not.

If you mean dark chocolate (with the chocolate chips) then yes. It's good (though not "dark" chocolate truth be told, more like dutch chocolate).

If you mean the stracciatella then I'd say avoid. Very underwhelming.

I hate the smell of lavendar so I suspect I'd hate the taste. But given that this is B&J's and new I simply had to try it at least once.

Pro - you can't taste the lavendar.
Con - you can't taste the blueberry swirl too much either as it is so slight.

The tartness of the greek yogurt is obvious enough and it goes with the bitterness of the lemon quite well. It's decent as a base, though obviously not on par with Three Twins' Lemon Cookie.

    B&J's Coffee Heath Bar Crunch

The combination of coffee and toffee is a hnnng i'd never thought I'd enjoy. 8/10

The base was good but it reminded me of those starbucks coffee drinks you buy at gas stations. I'm still looking for that real black coffee sort of vibe.

Try Jeni's coffee. Can't remember I it's called "Espresso" but it might as well be called espresso. Black coffee lovers' must.

Had Talenti's German Chocolate cake "limited edition" or whatever. Not a chocolate base fan but i gotta say it was pretty enjoyable.
Nice base, decent mix-ins, would maybe grab again.
