Yesterday I finally managed a single close of my CoC #2.5 gripper with my right hand and came within 1/4" of closing my 2006 #3
My arm touched my leg when I closed it but my hand didn't so I'm not sure if it would've officially passed but I was so happy to feel the handles click.
I'll have to get a video of this next grip day.

Fantastic! I just recently closed my 2.5 also, though my #3 is a bit farther away than 1/4"! Definetly get a video up and congratulations!

You don't have to pay for it, you call Ironmind and they set up a judge in your area, send a new gripper to certify on, you open it at the meeting and close it, if successful you keep the gripper as a gift. You provide a little bio on yourself, some pictures of the close and yourself and your done!

I Hate Sharp Knurling Too
Titania,
Please don't suffer from sharp gripper knurling... get one of those soft spongy sandblocks and work the sharpness off the handles. Work off just enough to where it doesn't hurt; I do this to my grippers and I've tried lots of different methods - it seems this one works the best for me!WARNING: This post may contain material offensive to those who lack wit, humor, common sense and/or supporting factual or anecdotal evidence. I like anything Tetting makes. I have a second hand MM1 replica on the way here from the states! Can't wait.
The knurling on the ordinary beef builders is perfect. I haven't really got the pocket to start ordering custom made stuff but if i did i would order a BB PRO with 1/4'' mount and very very sharp knurling but only on the dogleg side i'd like the finger side to have normal beef builder style knurl.
