I heard from someone that they're actually pretty good for you compared to other chips/snacks.

No, they are not healthier than any other chip/snack. Some (not necessarily me) would say they are actually worse for you. Their chips have a very high glycemic index because of the white corn they use. Consuming lots of white corn tortillas is a great way to give yourself diabetes.

Trying to locate something. My buddy (in decent physical condition) was diagnosed with diabetes a few years back. His parents are of Mexican descent, and he was informed at the time of diagnosis...that his diet (which consisted of plenty of corn-based ingredients)...was the probable cause of his diabetes onset. Perhaps the doctor was a whack-job. I am looking though...

They are effing delicious. Want to make them even better while adding some protein? Drop a block of cream cheese into the salsa, then dip your chips into both. Its like a stoner's pre-bed casein delivery system.

No food, in isolation, can be good or bad for you. No food in isolation is healthy or unhealthy. It's the entire diet that's important, and as long as you're consuming mostly minimally processed foods containing plenty of micronutrients, and consuming the proper amount of macronutrients & calories for your goals, then any food you wish to include in your diet is perfectly fine.

IIFYM, bro. Just keep track of how many you eat/how much salsa you eat, though I think a Jar is minimal calories. 250-400 for the whole jar? Solid. Eating Tostitos within your calorie allowance and macro allowance won't make you fat, and GI is highly overrated by many on this board. Diabetes is usually from obesity induced insulin insensitivity. Eat a whole bag of chips in one setting, plus a couple meals throughout the day, and you've got the makings for weight gain, fat, so on and so forth until you're diabetic.

You're not starting anything...and you're absolutely right. Add in the fact that I called my buddy...and he had no idea as to what the hell I was talking about. Spouting out information without cold-hard facts...is NOT very smart. No more un-researched, or un-documented facts...from me.

Repped.
OP, while your choice is fine, there are MUCH better salsas out there.
Actually, our personal favorite is Kroger Private Selection with the Habanero on the front. Second is D. L. Jardines Campfire roasted with Sun Chips or Tostitos whole grain chips. The whole grain really brings out the flavor in a hearty salsa.
This is the brand, but not the flavor:
