    Workout results from pushups only

Hi, I'm a 5'11 guys weighing about 155 pounds and below are my results from doing strictly push ups at home. I don't have gym access and just work out from home without weights.

My routine is 3 x 50 pushups with 5 min break in between each set every other day, i.e. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and rest on weekend. It takes me about 15 mins a day.

My goal is to keep myself fit and lean because I play basketball as cardio exercise.

    Below is my picture:

Good start but push ups alone are not sufficient. You will eventually require more resistance which unfortunately, push ups cannot provide.

    Good so far!

Great job... pushups are great for your upper body. Depending on you goal, you may need more resistance than that. If you plan on adding strength and size you will need to do some weighted exercises. You can even do some variations of pushups. Put your feet up on your bed... widen your hands... "diamond pushups"... putting one arm on a phone book...one arm pushups... good luck!

I agree you will need more resistance IF you want more size. However, it sounds like you're fine with your size (good shape now) for your sport, so your goals may not warrant getting heavy. I let my GF sit on my back for raised and regular push-ups...but I want to get big. I mix these into DB benchwork and fly's, as I do not have BB's...

Now, you didn't mention cardio and stretching before you do these, which is important...do you?

Whether it's working is dependent upon whether that picture was taking cold or after doing them.

    +1.

If that is pumped, looks like any chest of someone who doesn't really work out much.
