I've always had a problem when it comes to food, i love food and can eat anyyyything and love it. When it comes to gym time i have no problem when i get their i know what i'm doing, but i know the kitchen and your diet is the most important. I need help on what foods to eat that are the best with muscle repair and at what time's to eat, and i know it also depends on what time i go to the gym but if someone can help me with a good diet for staying cut and with helping on muscle growth i'd be very appreciative of your help

Foods that aid with muscle growth are foods that are high in protein, not anything with calories. Search on youtube and google, or even here for articles on nutrition you'll be overwhelmed by the tonnes of information you'll get. And about what time you should eat, you should only eat one time a day, and that time is: ALL THE TIME!

Get in your body weight of grams of high protein foods...(chicken, red meat) and take in a sufficient amount of caloric surplus. Everyone has different macro needs...just experiment for a while and you'll realize what is best for you.
Edit: Body weight in grams of protein...not protein foods xD (Weight 200 lbs= 200 grams of protein)

Haha everyone has an ******* in them so it's okay no hard feelings. You wont like everyone you're gonna meet in this world. Well I ain't a noob who just started weightlifting yesterday, and I ain't an 8 time Mr. O IFBB pro, you get what I'm trying to say? Number of posts does not determine whether you're a noob or not.
Same reply goes to you matthew. Now let's argue a little about your statement "anything with calories" shall we? Take a Dairy Queen Large Chocolate Malt into consideration. It's something with calories isn't it? But will it promote muscle growth? I highly doubt that. Perhaps your statement was not wrong, it just wasn't detailed enough."It doesn't matter how long it takes, what matters is actually reaching there" - Hman929

why wouldnt a dairy queen large chocolate malt promote gains? im not saying eat only that, but once sufficient dietary protein and fat are met, caloric source is ultimately irrelevant. choosing a large ice-cream or some brown rice and olive oil with an identical macronutrient/caloric profile wont make a difference when it comes to body composition.
i agree with your statement, that protein is necessary, but that wasnt the OPs question. what i saw, and what seems to come up post after post, was a "what is the best food" question when the reality is, caloric/macronutrient source is largely irrelevant to body composition. it boils down to daily totals, which can be reached via oats pb and whey, or via steak and cocoa puffs"I wish people trained their brains with the same passion they are training their biceps." - Juliacheh
