    Weight: 250.2 -1.2 new low

Happy with the loss, looks like the new calories are doing their job. Last time I hit a new low it was followed by a 3.4lb gain so I'm not going to count my eggs before they hatch. Hopefully I can stay at this pace since 225 is my goal for myself over the next 12 weeks. It's a lofty goal but I think since we are taking a break after this is over we should be able to push that hard. Yesterday was leg day and I kept with my same weights for squats and got out all the reps at 255 this time. My second rep I caught myself leaning over too much but corrected it for the last 4. Did 15 minutes on the elliptical after my workout and another 15 minutes on the stairmaster when I got home and my legs were fried!

    Squat
    135x12
    185x10
    225x8
    255x6

    Hack squat
    180x10x3

    SLDL
    165x10x3

    Leg extension
    145x15x3

    Lying leg curl
    115x12x2
    110x12x1

    Standing calf raise
    180x15,12,12,10,10

    Seated calf raise
    135x15,12,12,10,10

All 3 LOTR movies?! Very lucky! My wife isn't big into those movies but she did indulge me by coming to see The Hobbit with me in December

Actually it was my wife's idea to watch them, they're one of her favorites. We went and saw the hobbit but my wife was a little disappointed because she didn't know it was a trilogy! The time between them is too long.

I agree. They also add a good amount of stuff in the Hobbit that wasn't in the book. Only way they can stretch it out to 3 movies I guess. It's all about the almighty dollar I suppose...

I purposely didn't read the book so I could just enjoy the movie. Every time I read the book first I'm disappointed.

Yesterday was just supposed to be a HIIT session but I wasn't even as to get that done. After going to Walmart shopping I came home to my wife and 3 of the 4 kids being sick. By the time I got done putting away everything I bought, making dinner, making my 5 lbs of chicken and my lunch then getting everyone to bed, it was time for me to go to bed so I'm gonna have to do two cardio sessions either today or tomorrow to stay on track.

Oh ya forgot to mention I had a "cheat" yesterday, 2 kosher dill pickles, not good for the sodium intake but boy were they delicious! I'll have to drink some extra water the next two days to flush all the sodium out of my system before my weigh in on Saturday.

Don't stress on that man - enjoy some pickles! I eat a good number of pickled okra during contest prep and it's no biggie. Sure you may bloat a bit from the ton of sodium in them, but it's only temporary. They also taste really good!

Well I didn't get 2 cardio sessions in yesterday but I did get up today at 2:15 and knock out 30 minutes on the stairmaster before I had to go to work so now I just have my HIIT session later after work and I'll be back on track. Speaking of back on track I seem to have sabotaged Saturdays weigh in with the pickles. Yesterday and today's morning weight were ridiculous and even though I know it's just water weight I'm pissed about it. I try to keep everything consistent so we can see what's actually happening to my body and then I go and ruin it. I thought for sure it would be gone today but I was still up 3lbs. I know I stress about it too much but it's hard not to.

    Seated db curls
    40'sx10x3

    SS with lying triceps extensions
    25'sx10x3

    Ez bar curl
    95x10x3

    Rope extensions
    60x12x3

    Skull crushers
    65x10x3

    Wide grip bb curl
    70x12
    80x10,8,6

    Face pulls
    55x10x3

Even though today is shoulders I added some face pulls at the end cause I had a wi led pump going on. Then I hopped on the elliptical and did some HIIT, warmed up for 10 minutes on level 10 fat loss and then did 8 sprints for 30 seconds with 1 minute slow pace between them and then finished out my 30 minutes at a slower pace. First time I have done HIIT on the elliptical and it was brutal.

Good job getting the cardio in. A lesser man would have just scratched it all together. It is amazing how much sodium is in pickles though, isn't it? After a sodium rich meal I can be up as much as 8 lbs the next day and still several more the following day. Usually after 3 days my body is back to normal though.

Last dang time I eat pickles!!!! Not happy but it's my own doing so hopefully I'll see a bigger drop on Wednesday. I first entered the 250's on October 14th and have been stuck there ever since. Besides last Sunday when I weigh in 5 hours later than I normally do, I have not seen the 240's. getting frustrated but I know I'm putting in the work so I just have to trust the process.

    OHP
110x10x3(felt weak on these for some reason, the last few reps had a little help from my legs)

    SS with side laterals
    20'sx10x3

    Bb shrug
    185x10x3

    SS with bent over laterals
    25'sx10x3

    Upright row
    95x10x3

    Front raises
    20'sx10x3

Then my second HIIT session. Sprints on the treadmill. Wanted to die afterwards.

Didn't feel up to par during this back workout for some reason, still pushed through and gave it my all though. Just did a light 30 minutes on the recumbant bike for cardio because my calves were cramping up. Been taking my multi's and drinking plenty of fluids so I'm not quite sure what's going on but hopefully it will go away.

Hopefully I'm not getting sick, I have been really tired lately though. I took a full day off on Sunday and enjoyed watching the Super Bowl even the the 49ers lost. Yesterday was chest day. After my workout I drove home and did my HIIT on the treadmill, then watched biggest loser.

Hopefully I won't get sick. In other news I'm going to switch my off day from tomorrow to today cause I forgot my workout clothes again. So lame, driving home with BA tingles from my preworkout drink. I'll get my cardio done and maybe do some light accessory work too. Legs have been pretty dead lately so another day of rest might do them good.

First weigh in under 250! I've been waiting to break into the 240's since October 14th when I broke into the 250's. it's a great feeling, this is the lowest I've been in 12 1/2 years. Whether it was the drop in cals or me really giving it all I have or a combination of it all, I'm very happy about it. 10 weeks and 2 days left on this cut and then we will focus on maintaininging and growing. Took yesterday off from weights since I forgot my workout clothes at home. Still did 33 minutes on the treadmill with a mix of jogging and walking. 5 min warmup on 15 incline at 3.5 for speed, then 2 incline and 5.5 on speed for 10 minutes, 2 incline 6.0 for 5 minutes, 3 minutes walking at 3.5 and 15, 3 min 7.0 and 2, and then 9 min walking again. Hope to keep things rolling these next 10 weeks.

So I took off of work yesterday early so I didn't get stuck in the snow on the way home. I was able to make up my missed cardio session this week because of it. Got home around 1:15 after an 8.5 hr workday and hit my stairmaster for 30 minutes right away. Took a break and had my preworkout meal and then 1.5 hrs later took my Opus and went down in my basement to hit arms. Was a really good workout and got an amazing pump. Then took another break before doing another 30 minutes on the stairmaster. My quads are screaming at me today!

    Seated db curl
    40'sx10x3

    Superset with lying db extension
    25'sx10x3

    Ez bar curl
    100x10x3

    Superset with role pull downs
    60x12x3

    Skull crushers
    70x10x3

    Wide grip straight bar curl
    70x12
    80x10
    90x8
    95x6

Wife took a pic of my pumped up bi, with some good lighting and some help from the compression shirt it's looking pretty beefy.

    Exactly this!

Good job man. Weight is coming down great, and weights on the bar are going UP. That's a serious accomplishment.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate all the comments, it's amazing how much motivation I get from them. I'm sure if I didn't have the support of Stan and this forum I would have quit already, I had done it so many times before, when I step on stage it's gonna be a victory for everyone on here.

    Weight: 244.4 -2.8 new low!

Again I'm really happy about that weight drop, I don't know what the difference has been since I'm doing all the same work and diet as I was before but I'll take it. This marks 110lb total loss from my high of last year. I'm also only 10 lbs away from the lightest I've ever weighed in my adult or teenage life. Can't wait to actually start seeing definition. I'm also only 10 weeks out from my "comp" it's going to be hard to transition my brain I to thinking that I won't be dropping anymore weight after that for almost a year, but if I truly want to step on stage I need to add some quality mass. Quads are still killing me, tried to foam roll them last night and it almost made me cry lol. My HIIT was pretty difficult but I got it done. I'm also thinking my treadmill no longer goes fast enough for me to do sprints on. I'm gonna try and get that video log that I promised up today. Just not enough hours in the day!
