He might say one thing but you can bet he'll be thinking another. I agree with that on Heath, I think that's what happened when he stood next to Dexter, but there's Victor and Branch at the Arnold who he shouldn't cause problems for. I say shouldn't and not wont because who knows what the judges will see. If he deserves it then fair enough but I can't see him beating either of them if they're on without them being robbed.

Evan won because he had the least flaws. His FDB might not be the best, but apart from that he was spot on and had the best conditioning. No rocket science here. And why would anyone compare him with Heath? Heath is like the next freak of bb and will probably be mr.o this year, Evan is far from that. Just take it for what it was.
And yes you can't judge by pics especially when comparison pics are so blurry and small they don't even show definition.lófasz

Its hard to pick it, I would have given Dex 1st, Wolf 2nd, Evan/Fouad 3rd - 4th (Ben even maybe 3rd instead of Evan).
I just think Evans still not developed enough in all poses to win (he had the best conditioning granted), Evan looks great in almost all poses apart from front double BI which is a huge pose.

Woah!just saw the results and palumbo's wrapup.i thought wolf would place in the top three. He was lacking the conditioning but his size is on another level.
Evan overall looked really good but he has to improve a lot of things, still young though!

Everyone wanted to see Evan win for an upset. I never said I was right, but who's to same I'm wrong? It's called an opinion you idiot, and mine is that Dexter should have won it.
After seeing the bigger better pictures I've changed my mind on that pose admittedly. I still stand by Dexter winning though.EPO all in my veins; Lately things just don’t seem the same; Actin’ funny, but I don’t know why; ’Scuse me while I pass this guy.

I posted the comparison pictures yesterday after prejudging, and there were several photos I had either Wolf or Dexter beating Evan in. There was only one or two where I had Evan as the winner (between Wolf, Fouad, Dexter, and Evan). Perhaps showtime/pictures tell a different story, but I've always found that hard to believe. I think only his conditioning could be illuminated more clearly IRL then in pictures, and best conditioning should not hands down win a show. Shredded glutes/hammies are favored over structure/flow (It might be the IFBB's way of attempting to make the judging more objective). I'm sorry but I am not impressed at all with Evan's FDB. Even some of his backshots failed to impress me compared to Wolf or Dexter (I had Wolf winning the BDB and Dexter winning the RLS). His only pose where I said "wow Evan's the clear winner" is either his SC or his MM (but it was hard to truly compare MMs since he was hitting it differently from Wolf).
Fouad looked great, but I did not have him beating Wolf. Again, I think Fouad's back conditioning (glutes/hams) allowed him to beat Wolf. Personally, I think Evan won because he had better conditioning, alot of hype, and is the perfect "sales" BBder.Frustrated at bodybuilding? Read my rant:

Evan got Dex with his conditioning
I was at show seated center stage midsection. Even from where I was sitting, you could see that from the from Dex barely had Evan... But when they turned around, it was a whole different story. Dex was holding too much water from lower back down. Couldn't see any striations in his glutes and hams were watery. Evan on the other hand was feathered from traps to calves. I think Dex may in trying to peak for Arnold, missed his mark here.
Ben on the other hand got screwed... he was by far the biggest and on of the most tuned when he first touched the stage. Unfortunately for him, he was the first in the line so kinda got lost. And since he didn't make 1st callout, he ended up smoothing out way faster than the rest. should have placed 3/4.
I'll post my pics later... no touch ups.FOCUS. COMMIT. EXECUTE. REPEAT !!!

Problem gut officer? Don't see no visible gut on Evan or anything indicating him having one, sorry. Except if you can somehow predict bodybuilders growing a gut by blurry low res pics in wich case i salute you.
And i agree with the above, i think Fouad should have placed 2nd and Dex 3rd. Hell, Fouad was practically robbed.lófasz

I admit pretty much all the pros have significant distension, but if you have good vtaper and structure it isn't nearly as noticible. I mean cmon, lets be real here, Evans abs/midsection look like **** compared to many others and its not gonna get any better considering that's about as good as his conditioning will get.

Evans abs/midsection is fine its just a lil wider than most other pros. From the pics it looks like he was hitting the ab and thigh slightly differently to dex etc. they would have their arms more to the sides whereas his were more straight above his head. I would have thought this makes his lats look smaller.
But ronnie had a crap midsection when he got massive and cutler always get stick for it, i dont think evans is any worse than their midsection just needs more lats!

It was pretty easy to see that Evan had the show won in the morning and at night. Dexter was showing very little detail in his hams. Evan had a good thirty pounds of muscle over Dex. Dexter looked tiny next to him. The back lat was not a strong pose for Evan, but he totally crushed Dexter in the back double bicep. It wasn't even close. Evan has flaws, but he was easily better than Dexter last night.
I'm finishing up my review and will send it off later today to get formatted and posted, probably tomorrow.
