Gonna go OT here......
ALOT of fake people, at least try to pass off somebody that they aren't....
Posts like the one's stated about doin this or that, then down the road, I get a PM asking for posts to be deleted because a SO or work might read what they wrote.
Don't fake the front, I'm the same online as I am in person.......
Edit: I guess I'm kinda jaded a bit because I mod the forum and sees what REALLY goes down

I am the same online as in person for the most part. I have stated before I don't post everything I think because it may not always be taken as being in fun. There are all kinds of people here and words on a screen are not always translated well. The people who I go back and forth with regurally get my sense of humor whereas someone else may not. At home with those that know me well I am 100% myself.
When it comes down to my job or my husband's job I am not really myself. I am much more reserved. That is our livelyhood and how we put food on the table. I don't know how some make take my sense of humor or blunt attitude so I usually err on the side of caution.
If my coworkers saw what I posted here it would be them seeing more of myself than I am at work.

I agree. I am who I am online or in person. I was lucky enough that my job allowed me to be who I am without any issues (I worked in a garage, the other people in there were just as vulgar, inappropriate and classless as I am). My husband knows all about anything messed up I have posted or asked about.
I generally don't like to ACTUALLY offend people. I don't like it when people are cruel and I don't like it when people feel bad because of something I have said or done. Online, IRL, whatever. So if I got to my MIL tea and toast house, I try not to swear. I don't tell any stories that I think may offend her or make her uncomfortable.
But I consider that being respectful of other peoples feelings and of certain situations. Not pretending I am someone who I am not. A funeral is not the place to be dropping F-bombs and talk about taking it in the backdoor. Hanging out with my mom and sisters, ANYTHING goes, the more inappropriate the more hilarious.

Reading this thread for the first time, I had the same response as CBB! But, I'll agree with Fawn and Taiga... I am on here who I am IRL. Where I'm someone else is at work, at events, etc... Although, I think IRL when I'm around my friends, I'm more vulgar and willing to say "offensive" things because I know my friends know what I mean by them. Reading text is certainly not the same as hearing words... no tone, inflection, nonverbals, etc. Some of the stuff I think in my head, if I wrote on here, would be misconstrued so much I'd be banned for certain.
Rest assured y'all.... lady in the streets....___________________________________________________________
