Got a call yesterday from a guy that owns the car wash down the street from me. He wants me to come run it for him on the weekends. He decided he wants to hire someone to run it for him on weekends so he can focus on his other business. So that's going to be good opportunity.

No one died.
It was trip seeing that motor make it threw the fence like that.
I'm looking forward to today's race. I guess they have a new track drying system now? I hope it's either Montoya proof or sponsored by Target so he has something to aim at!

ya my explorer is like a 2009 but its hitting 230,000 miles ...I needed that four wheel drive out in the boonies but now that I am in town? not so much..
just spent 600 bucks getting work done on it
needs another 600 on the front end..
suspension work from living on a bumpy dirt road for too long
I'd like to get it repaired and then give it my son to use at college..
I have no idea what I would buy though..
Kia soul....arent those the funky rectangle looking ones?

Yep, it's a great little car that handles like a slot car and gets good mileage. I stuck $1700 in mine last yr to replace the headgaskets, just put new struts on it myself and now there is a clunk in the front end, has to be a worn bushing somewhere.
LOL at anything on the Isle being simple, but then Daytona isn't all that easy either. For bikes it's harder because they utilize the infield track section that removes turns 1+2 but you still have 3+4 as well as that slight kink on the front so called straight. I did a track day there in 2006 and put over 100 miles on the bike that day. The banking is insane as all you see is either apron or sky when you look around and it was rough as hell before they repaved it a couple yrs ago. Anything under 100mph and you would drop off the banking instantly. Made 1 mistake on the front straight, pulled my head slightly off to the left side and got out of my slipstream at 170 mph, next thing you knew i was headed closer and closer to that damn outside wall while fighting to get my head back behind the windscreen, won't make that mistake again."You know that little thing in your head that keeps you from saying things you shouldn't? Have added rearsets, exhaust, re-geared it -1in front and +2 in back, speedo healer so it reads accurately now, intake work, etc etc. Have had it dynoed 3 times and everytime it's within 1hp of it's best of 157.4rwhp. Top speed is down to 172 since the gear change but it gets out of the hole so much faster.
