11/9/12 DL 5+
Intro: Went to the gym early on a whim. Had a ton of energy and said why not. Got my DLs and ham assistance out of the way...gonna go back tonight with the rest of the PL club and do some pause squats and quad assistance prob. Im a sick kunt....also heres a tangent for yall. Im once again abandoning the bastardization of "IIFYM" that is prevalent on the site. I always start my diets really "clean" and gradually start trying to push the limits of the concept. I realized last week I was very irregular and had to attribute it to my crap diet. I also was taking the "20%" concept too literally by actively trying to base my diet around the junk rather than basing it around the good stuff and at the end of the day grabbing a pop tart or something if im short on cals... Since making the switch back to "bro" I feel better already both physically and mentally. My diet is now infinitely easier to track and also to maintain so its the best of both worlds. Right now my main carb sources are fruit, veggies, rice, and oats pretty much. I will probably swap the rice with pasta and potatoes occasionally to keep my dinners unique, but Im gonna try to stay away from all the processed stuff for a while. Instead of having a little bit each day like I was doing, I think maybe once every week or 2 when I really am craving something ill just make a day of it. end rant (for now).
Lifts:
Deadlift: WU, 275 x 5, 315 x 5, 355 x 10 (had no chalk and dont own straps. grip **** out on me and made this exponentially harder than it should have been. confident I could have getten at least a few more reps if I had chalk)...
315 x 5 (5 sets conventional)
Ham curl: 3 x 8 (115 lbs)
Glute ham: 5 x 10 (+25)
Hyperextensions: 5 x 12 (+25)
vid
new lifting shoes came. fuk yes. cant wait to test em out. I love minimus and these ones actaully look pretty nice compared to the ones Ive been wearing. Might test em out tonight.
and a new creation that was quite tasty. "funfetti oats"
60g oats, 20g funfetti cake mix, I eyeballed the water (milk would make it taste even better) prob ~ 1.5-2 cups? cook in microwave for 3 mins, top with sunflower butter and a dab of biscoff. MMM.
terrible pic btw, sorry,
hmm ill see what they have next time im at the store. I love me some macintosh lately tho
fuji are so expensive! might grab 1 to try tho...and lol shredded to the max shoudl be my nickname (my real name is Max believe it or not!)
I only ditched it cuz I legitimately had it every single night for about 2 months. It lost its appeal.... but now we're reunited and it feels so good.
I think my form on OHP is quite good tbh but my absurdly long ape arms dont help pressing. brb 2x the ROM of most ppl.
Fried rice is so great. Ive been switching up what grain of rice I use too so it gives a unique flavor. This round was "nishiki short grain sushi rice" tonight will be jasmine. so far my favorite though has been basmati, goddamn that rice is good.Last edited by MITCHAPAL00ZA; 11-09-2012 at 02:14 PM.

thanks brotha, my DL is my saving grace on my total.
I would guess its old TBH, they were on sale on footlocker.com. check em out, they have some good sales right now.
wasn't the easiest set. I took chalk for granted before but when you are losing grip it makes the set so much harder, I was really surprised.
add splenda (or other element adding sweetness) if you keep my ratio, the cake batter didnt impart enough sweetness. Im gonna toy around with it, try adding some stuff maybe, and try to make it tastier. If you come up with something good with it post in your log or lmk here.xTUNAx CREW

I think Jasmine is by far the best rice, especially in Fried Rice. Basmati is good but it depends on the dish since it tends to be drier and fluffier than Jasmine, which is usually stickier and moister. Surprisingly, I grew up on Jasmine despite growing up in a Middle Eastern household. When I went back home (Iraq), they actually preferred short-grain or basmati if they wanted long grain.
I also think Jasmine is far more flavourful, which is why I usually cook Basmati with more seasoning, aromatics, and other ingredients. The scent is the dead giveaway for me. Jasmine in the package smells awesome.“Go back?" he thought. "No good at all! Go sideways? Impossible! Go forward? Only thing to do! On we go!" So up he got, and trotted along with his little sword held in front of him and one hand feeling the wall, and his heart all of a patter and a pitter.”

Had about 4000 cals today before counting the drinks. then a minor drunken binge lol.
somewhat prevalent. would be better if using milk/vanilla almond/soymilk i bet...and nah I dont really like "proats" tbh. id rather have a shake on the side if I really need the protein (which is almost never the case... I usually eat at least pound of meat a day, plus 3 or more eggs, and usually a scoop of whey PWO)...give it a shot though. maybe tweak the recipe a bit and lmk how it comes out....and yes I noticed that Basmati is about twice the price of other grains of rice.
lol thanks. I used to have the rocky song be my "pr song"...might have to queue it back up on my next big set.
In fried rice I think its my favorite too after the batch I made last night. Definitely love that aroma you speak of...when I make the fried rice with the basmati it ends up more like Biryani because I use curry and various other spices. Delicious in its own right, but not a typical "fried rice". the one last night was cooked in chili-garlic butter, and just needed a bit of soy sauce, a dash of white pepper and a liberal garnish of green onions. Gonna finish off the rice tonight with something similar I think.xTUNAx CREW
