The one line quote comes of arrogant, but I'm sure it's not like it seems.
Ronnie is the GOAT, he is entitled to say this... but we all know you are the greatest bro, so no need to get in on the mud-sling fest with the rest of the drama queen IFBB leaches

That's not a diss, that's the truth. Dorian was very quiet during his reign as Mr. Olympia. He would go right back to England after winning and wasn't very known for traveling much (yes he did guest pose and stuff, he just wasn't known for doing it as much as other pros, let alone other Olympia winners)
edit - and agreed with other folks that lots of pros these days look stellar and *do* have a wow-factor (just not the same *type* of wow-factor Ronnie had). Plenty of pros look great and I prefer the way they look over Ronnie. Ronnie pushed the limits of his body, which got him to the top but was also his downfall, and that downfall wasn't pretty.

I hear ya brah...I respect Ronnie and Dorian for their freaky size(s) and what they achieved in the sport but I would much rather look at Phil, Kai '12, Dex, Cutler '01/'09, Ray, Flex, Levrone et., ...only year I liked Ronnie was '98...just my personal opinion and taste is all..
Dorian and Ronnie were forced to retire due to the numerous injuries that they suffered by training so insanely heavy...Would they have still reached the same freaky size had they trained more "carefully" or "smarter"...no one will ever know...Last edited by Canuck77; 12-19-2012 at 05:45 PM.

Statments like this are pulled out of ass holes... Yeah Kai and Phil have NOTHING special... Eduardo, Roelly... Pftt Bland. Dennis wolf... Dime a dozen. Its one thing to say so and so has this or that weakness... To say theres 2 current pros with anything interesting about them... Use your imagination for 3 seconds...

An imbalance doesnt usually indicate an injury. Alot of people, pros and shmoes have different size/shape in certain muscles. And just because the same side started to atrophy due to injury doesnt mean that there was an underlying injury there all along. It could be coincidence, or there could have been a vulnerability due to a difference in his nervous tissue on that one side, which again doesnt mean there was an injury at that time.

What does it matter how Ronnie looks now? He no longer competes and I bet he is still on high amounts of sups. The only guy who is close to his age is Toney Freeman. Ronnie has 5 years on Dex and DJ.
No BBer can ever win on these forums. Ronnie was the greatest of his time and he did what he had to, and everyone loved watching him on stage and in his training videos, and now people complain about the way he did things? Shiiit man its like people just love to complain at any given opportunity. Im not saying you have to say good things about everyone, But i think Ronnie has every right to say what he did.TEAM ZKK

I don't think the amount of supps has to do with why Ronnie looks the way he does. If it were simply that, then he'd have similar proportions but just smaller. And actually, though I found it cool that Ronnie could lift so heavy, I never thought it was actually a good idea for him to be doing that, ever. It's not like I loved that and then switched after he got injured. I've always felt it was a bit reckless.

I dont mean its just the sups. But i imagine it will be hard for him to stop training the way he did during off season. And with no contest to actually get into shape for over the 4 years its just got to much. Thats just my guess anyway. And i agree with you, But you cant have the best of both worlds! What he brought to BBing was crazy. Im not his biggest fan either, im not nut hugging. Lol. Prefer a lot of other BBers to him.

I was never a Ronnie fan and each year was always hoping he would lose. He is dumb as a box of rocks and was not a good poser. Lucky for him he was able to build muscle like no other and is probably the GOAT whether I like it or not. He would also likely beat Phil, but I am curious to see what him, Kai, and Phil would look like next to each other. Phil with his 3D look might be something we are underestimating. Somerhing tells me that Ronnie is just mad he past his prime and can't let go of the past.

lol. 15 years from now we'll all be like "man, the late '00 and early '10 were such a great time for bodybuilding. We had Cutler, Coleman, Wolf, Dexter, Martinez, Warren, Heath, Kai, Rhoden, Centopani, Freeman. Now all we got are those ugly lumps of mass monsters"

Ronnie is almost 50 years old (48 or 49 I believe). Someone brought up dexter and he is 43. Those 5 years make a pretty big difference not to mention it is MUCH harder to maintain that "look" when you are the biggest bodybuilder of all time. Plus some people age better than others. Cutler looked great post surgery...some don't age as well.
I mean at 42ish ronnie won the 2005 mr. olympia at what some people think was his top 3 looks ever
this also goes way farther than just training style. Look at toney freeman. he is a health nut. He ever see the guy eat? His former trainer and cousin works out at my gym. The dude is insane with every aspect of his health. He isn't popping cholesterol meds, prescription liver support meds, and blood pressure meds because his health is farking impeccable.
ronnie doesn't strike me as someone that health conscious.

Well the fronts squats were 'wobbly' because of the weight and the fact that the bar bended and bounced due to his no lockout style. Dont know what you mean by swaying t bar rows, he may have jerked a bit.
Anyway thats irrelevant. Those three examples came off the same dvd. I seriously doubt he trained like that all the time. Just showing off, even Jay did that on his dvds. Look at Ronnies first training vid. All the same exercises but better control. Thats more likely what his usual training looked like. Im not saying he didnt push it. Like Dorian im sure he pushed him self to the limits with intensity, but that doesnt mean 800lb squats and deads every week. Its easy in hindsight to say Ronnies and Dorian's training styles f*cked them up but i believe they would not have been the best had they backed off.
