AFC: I think it will be closer than the 8-9pt spread. Baltimore plays NE tough. Flacco has been stepping up as of late. Still think NE wins

NFC: I am going to go with an upset win for Atlanta
The public has jumped on the SF bandwagon, but I dont think GB had the defensive gameplan or talent to contain CK. Atlanta does.They contained RG3 and Wilson.

What do Rod Chudzinski, Doug Marrone, Mike Mccoy, Gus Bradley and Marc Trestman have in common>
They will all be NFL HC's next year and you haven't ever heard of them (or hadnt until this week).
Add in Chip Kelly and Bruce Arians and 7 of the 8 (exception being Reid in KC) of the new HCs this year are 1st timers.
We used to get a lot of retreads. Other than Mccoy (who won w. Tebow and Delhomme) I have a hard time believing any of these work out. There is an obvious trend to offensive minded guys (7 of 8) but I would have rather gone after Lovie, Zimmer (cinci), Nolan (rebuilt ATl D), Fewell(NYG), McDaniels, Jay Gruden.
Or just thrown money at Bowhey or Gruden to get them out of retirement.
Compared to baseball where the coach really is just managing, or the NBA where the players run the league, football is the 1 sport where the coaching.cheme/programs makes a huge difference.
The cowboys, eagles, chargers, and texans have had talent yet failed. I would argue the Vikings, bears, sins and bengals had less talent but more success.

Coaching (and Qbs of course) win. These teams will fail again.

Uh, the only guys I hadn't heard of until the coaching carousel started were Bradley and McCoy. The others I've heard from previous offseasons and paying attention to college football.

Today I'm hoping calling for a Harbaugh bowl. Would like to see the Ravens win it in the end. If they do it will be interesting how the media handles that win. Will they accept Flacco as an elite QB? Or will they accept that you do not need an elite QB to win the Super Bowl?
