Why does my tattoo need a meaning? I didn't get the skull to look 'tough and intimidating' im 6'3 240lbs so that's covered already (joking) I got it because I love the artwork and think that skulls are very aesthetically pleasing to look at especially as a tattoo and within paintings.
As I previously said tattooing is a hobby for me just as bodybuilding is, if I didn't have the artistic skills of a 5 year old I would pursue it as a career...Current Lifts - B 140kg x 5| S 185kg x 3 | D 200kg x 6 | Front S 130kg x 5 |

I lol @ the whole "got it for the meaning" ideal. It's a defense for tattooed brahs. You could easily get a tattoo with meaning somewhere not so visible and out in the open like your arms etc. Also the whole "art appreciation" seriously? lol. Real people that appreciate real art, well they hang it on a wall. How does "art" on skin look anywhere near as good as it does on a canvas? haha.

Why do they need to get it somewhere not visible? Hell especially if they can't see it themselves.
BRB hanging statues on a wall.
Art has multiple formats, lets not be cray. Interior design, architecture, furniture, book covers, posters, wallpaper, statues, on and on.
Though I've never seen an interesting tattoo in my life.

WTF is so polarizing about tattoos. I have never seen people hate on anything that does nothing to them like people do to tattoos. Really not only do people who don't have them need to voice their opinion on how they do not like them, but also need to voice their opinion and make blanket judgments about anyone who has them. Seriously? We are on a bodybuilding site. FFS it is probably next in line for insecure attention whores right after tattoos and only because it is way harder to accomplish than getting inked. Not everybody lifting weights is an insecure *******... not everyone who gets a tattoo is an insecure *******.
BTW I do have tattoo regrets. Was talked into colour ink by artist on my one arm and I hate it. He also wasn't the best at the style of tattoo I was going for but his initial drawing I liked. Looking to get it faded and covered eventually.

I know kids I grew up with that have spider webs tattooed on there elbows and would never hurt a fly.
To each their own, and I'm not saying it's EVERYONE that gets a tattoo.. but when I see someone with them I just see 'Please give me attention'
