So we just combined like... 4 different javascript calculators and built a fully custom IIFYM calculator.
I think we did a good job but I might make a few more tweaks to it depending on what the misc has to say.
The only thing I might like to do is to add a bit of functionality that allows the user to determine the percentage of caloric deficit that is created in the goals area.
Thoughts misc?

All of the misc will get free oatmeal once we launch.
In fact, we are going to give out 2 coupons to everyone.
one to use for yourself. Another to give away to a friend.
Thanks brah
That was the goal. There is always room for improvement though.
Thank you sir
I thought about it, but decided against it. Should be easy enough to add though.
nod of appreciation sir..

The TDEE formulae are unfortunately not very accurate. Even using Katch-McArdle with bf, it says my maintenance is at 2600 and I should bulk at 2900, despite the fact I actually have to bulk at 3400 or more for a pretty lean bulk.
That's not your fault though, the tool itself is very nice and user friendly. Repped.

Is it that the Katch-McArdle is incorrect or that the numbers (though correct by way of the formula) don't justify with your real world experience for your body?
The calculations look correct to me, but the problem is that these are just calculators and cannot account for metabolism health. (which I think you are kind of eluding to)
I heave heard both ways.
I prefer to go off of lean mass since, muscle is alive and required nutrients and blood flow, while fat is just... fat.
But some people do it differently.
We based the calculator on total body weight, rather than lean mass, but there is enough functionality for the user to be able to make small changes I think..

What are the bulking and cutting percentages the calculator is using? 10% of maintenance? Why not add an option that allows you to view your calorie reqs with a 5% or 20% above/below maintenance?
(and FYI - amazing calculator! well done sir.)The first known contraceptive was crocodile dung, used by Egyptians in 2000 B.C.

It is the latter. Your Katch-McArdle formula is probably properly implemented (I have not compared with the actual formula, although I believe it does give me around these numbers), but I was mainly aiming at the fact that - indeed - the numbers that the formula poops out are very generic and do not account for individual metabolism (which it obviously can't).
So as I said, it's not your fault, it's the nature of trying to generically calculate TDEE, which is very person specific.
