    abs without cardio

Hi bros. Its my first month hitting the iron. I have seen progress and a bit of a shape. I do 5 days straight, supersets mid heavy weights.

In order to have cuts, I understand you need to do a lot of cardio which i really hate. Is there a diet that I can stick to just to compensate doing cardio ? Is 5 meals a day enough ?
Let me know if this diet I'm currently on would help. Thanks.

    Noodles and egg ( Breakfast ) 9am

Raisins and a piece of bread ( 10 am )

    Ribeye Steak 2 pieces ( lunch ) 12 pm

    Yougart ( 1:30 )

    A can of tuna in water ( 3pm )

    Crackers ( 4:30 )

    6:30 - 8:00 gym ( stacked leukic hardcore and nanox9 )

    Chicken and tuna ( 9:00 pm )

Whey Protein with GABA ( 10:00 before sleeping )

Hope you can help me with this. Appreciate it. THanks.

Look at it this way. All cardio does is burn calories you already ate. Those calories are either stored as fat, muscle or glycogen. It also can increase your metabolism for some duration after the actual exercise. To what extent is debateable. I saw some recent research that suggested that if you did cardio hard enough to burn 400 cals the psot workout burn would only be an extra 100 cals over the next 24 hours (no I dont have alink to the article)

If you can cut your calories enough to compensate for what you cardio would have burned, then you can arrive at the same place without cardio.

The BB'ers of the 40's and 50's never did cardio and looked fine. Given the "relative" lack of drugs then (ECA, clen, T3) I would tend to believe it would be equally doable now.

I dont do cardio but my diet is on point. Have to be really strict with your calories. I also take minimal rest between sets (i.e. kind of get a cardio effect there anyway).

Your diet and weight training can "develop/define" your abs. Dont necessarily need cardio.

Cardio isn't only for burning fat, its for heart health, endurance benefits, better oxygen intake on the muscles part as well as transportation of nutrients among several others.

Nor do you need to do cardio to help lose weight. The thing is you can maybe burn 1000 calories in an hour doing cardio, but you will also burn some muscle if you aren't taking in nutrients during your workout.

The less exercise you do, the more strict your diet must be. Which one can you handle better?

You know cardio doesn't have to be boring. You can run stars, ride a bike, do some rowing, rollerblade, and the sky is the limit!

Cardio and less rest between sets are not equivelant, nor even close. Its training mainly type 2 fibers as opposed to cardio as type 1 fibers and there is an inactive rest period making use of the anaerobic pathway mainly instead of the aerobic pathway.

I'd like to see a weightlifter who takes little rest inbetween sets and no cardio compare to someone of the same build who has trained to run 5 miles and lifts normally. The results wouldn't even be comparable.

Which is why I said "kind of a cardio effect" >>>in the most basic sense. Elevation of the heart rate to around 50 to 60 percent of the heart's maximum heart rate. I can achieve that through lifting. For how long? Definitely not as long than could be accomplished through traditional cardio.

    Works for me though.

Yes, but many people take that kind of cardio effect to "man its awesome cardio" yet not the same thing.
