Its been argued both ways but many say eating regular small meals helps metabolism and supposedly anaerobic work is better for weight loss than aerobic work (i.e. sprints and interval training as opposed to endurance long duration training)

Studies suggest 5 - 6 small meals is no more beneficial than 3 square meals. The only real reason to eat that many is if you can't handle feeling a bit of hunger.

Seconded, especially about the getting up and walking around. I have a sit down job and pretty much sit down at home hobbies, aside from the gym. Getting up and walking around for a bit every 20 minutes is a great habit and helps detour that stiffness feeling. Not sure if helps accelerate the weight loss, but it sure does make me feel better.

Right here. The #1 way to increase metabolism is to increase muscle mass. Everything else is like putting a K&N filter on your car for horsepower reasons. It helps a little, but what you really need is a bigger engine!!!
