I have never tried wax....is there any negatives from this? I do not want my hair to fall by the time I am 24 plzzz!

Best Stuff
I had the same issue awhile ago. The best stuff for sure is Bed Head. It's a gel and you can buy it at Target. It is a little pricey, but the stuff styles, holds, and blows dry great! The tube is black with Silver lettering.
My hair is impossible to do anything with I HATE the flake you are referring to. Bed Head works awesome. Get it!

use wax or a molding puddy
then use a strong hair spray to hold it in place
ALWAYS wash hair with head and shoulders
