You're argument is completely invalid. One I never said football wasnt. Two you are talkig about what the players and coaches put in for game prep not what the average fan views and understand. The average fan can watch football for hard hits etc and enjoy. Three baseball is 162 games. 4. The fact that football doesn't play on consecutive days is due to the physical toll not mental and is completely irrelevant to this argument.
Plus we were talking about boring ass basketball

Lets re-read this again... stating that you said "Ven is right" and talking about baseball, if he is right then why do you bring up boring ass basketball.
What the players and coaches do for game prep = Thinking... We are not talking about the fans.
But since you want to talk about the fans.
Do the fans "Think" about what the baseball players think, hell no. Do the fans think about what the football players do or think? no
they are there to catch foul balls, and watch homeruns (baseball)... which is like hard hits So how is my point invalid? because you dont see the correlation?
Fans dont sit in the crowd and try to see the catchers signal and think they are in the shoes of a coach, thats the last thing on their mind. Baseball fans are more focused on the next beer they are drinking or the hotdog/peanuts they are inhaling.

If you dont think baseball is a thinking mans game then you either didnt play or didnt do so at a high level.
If you think it is boring that is one thing.
As for the "just watch the last 3 inning comment"
many say just watch the last 2 mins of baskeball.
Basketball meanwhile probably requires the most sheer athleticism compared to thinking.
QB requires more studying than any position in sports. As does HC in football.Founder of MMDELAD

Am I the only one who enjoys all 3 (bball, baseball, football)
Football is great cuz you can watch any two teams play no matter how bad they are and still enjoy the action IMO, You also want to see the entire game (unless a blowout).
Basketball has the highlights and watching something like that 5OT thriller satuarday night was awesome, incredible athleticism.
Baseball I actually enjoy the day in and day out nature. I like how there is no time limit so a team can always come back or in extra's, a team can win at any point.
You can enjoy the mind games a managaer plays (to pinch hit, make a pitching change, sacrifice, steal, hit and run, etc).Founder of MMDELAD

After playing all 3 growing up I was Football 1 -- Basketball 2 --- Baseball 3, i would rank golf higher than baseball (My dad being a pro and having a short stint on the pro tour after getting his pro card from winning the kentucky open) guess it just runs in the family blood.
Then again i was a fat ass lineman, so it wasnt the best position to play, but still was fun.

I love all three but football is by far my favorite to watch and baseball can bore me at times (I'm impatient), but I still appreciate the intricacies of it.
Football - I love watching football. I'll watch any game.
Basketball - Bulls games are a lot of fun. I'll watch when they're on. If nothing else is on I do enjoy NBA Sunday.
Baseball - I'll have the White Sox game on but I'll be flipping around or half paying attention if I have other things to do.Few things are set in stone, except that you have to squat or you are a pussy. - Mark Rippetoe

Football is great, basketball is good, baseball is simply boring. But, you've left out the greatest sport on the face of the planet.

Basketball and football are fun to watch as long as it isn't a blowout. I generally prefer college bball though unless the Raps are playing. I'll even watch mid-majors/Ivy League teams play rather than soap operas like the Lakers. srs.
Baseball, assuming it involves teams that interest me, is ok if nothing else is on. If it's playoff baseball, then my interest heightens.Oakland Raiders--Toronto Raptors--Toronto Blue Jays--San Jose Sharks

NFL back in the news:
Vick signs 1 year deal to stay with team and run Chip's new Offense.
Will he be successful?
Not sure but he certainly fits the system better than Foles or anyone else Chip could bring in so its a win for Kelly.Supposedly the local fans arent that happy though (think Vick is done and should be gone).
NFL makes contingenvy plans to play next years SB on Saturday if its were suposed to be bad weather in NY on Sunday.
1. A Sat. SB and sleeping in the next day would be awesome
2. But
I hate that people dont think the SB should be played in bad weather/the elements because it creates an unfair playing field.
Well how is mandating that it be played on turf/in dome/in good weather not benefitting a team like NO/ATl over a team like Pittsburgh or a team like Chicago that is accustomed to outdoor and ground and poundish style more.
If it is so unfair, the NFL should mandate every team play in a dome on turf so that the field is always the same for every game for the entire year.
Rumors Clowney should sit out the year just to avoid getting hurt.
I dont think this will ever happen but if it did it would set a horrible prescedent and rob us of future stars in College Football.Founder of MMDELAD

When March Madness rolls around I am going to set up my own bracket challenge on here using the format I do with firends.
Rather than fill out the bracket, you pick 16 teams, one team for each seed.
So you only get to pick 1 1seed, 1 2seed, 1 3 seed, etc.
It keeps people from having a bunch of similar brackets full of chalk picks. And it allows you to really root for some teams to pull upsets and go deep.Founder of MMDELAD
