Should your Deadlift = your ATG squat?

Since most CORRECT Deadlift instructional videos say for the bottom part you should be pushing with all legs?

Don't forget that you start a deadlift in a quarter squat position. You should be a looooot stronger in that position than a full squat.

Deadlift > Any competition depth squat. Even if you buy into the whole 'squat the weight off the floor' thing (I don't), you're not going to be under full load at parallel or below on your deadlift, unless you have some mad stubby arms lol.

edit: I speak only from high bar squat and conv. deadlift experience.

Normally deadlift is much higher unless there are injuries. Right now mine are about equal only because of some problems I'm working through. But I expect deadlift to overtake squat soon.

I surely hope OP is suggesting that if his ATG Squatting goes up, his deadlift will go up.

Not, I deadlift and ATG squat the same amount of weight.

Surely OP, it must be the prior, surely.

I don't go quite ATG because of a knee issue, though I wish I could squat like that. When I do go ATG with lighter weights I feel how explosive and athletic I could be. I think I'd actually be able to squat more if I hit the hole with speed and was able to use a rebound reflex.

With that said, my below parallel squat and deadlift are even. However my squat goes, so goes my deadlift.
Old Maxes as of 6/17/2013: Current Maxes as of 7/14/2013:
    Squat: 550lbs > Squat: 590lbs
    Bench: 350lbs > Bench: 350lbs/365lbs tng
    Deadlift: 550lbs > Deadlift: 570lbs Beltless
    Total: 1450lbs > Total: 1510lbs

Hmm I should clarify a bit. I am not implying that you do not use leg drive while deadlifting, all common knowledge on how to perform a deadlift applies. I just believe the dynamics of the squat and deadlift are sufficiently different that 'squatting the weight off the floor', while perhaps an apt mental que, is not representative of how you actually do the lift. I dunno, I'm not an authority on anything, that's just my opinion though. I come here to learn, but I want to post vids so I need posts.

For me that would be a 545 squat.

    No thanks Jeff.

Raw lifters usually have a higher deadlift that even their parallel squat. I deadlift 240kg and squat 170kg (although could probably get at least 175kg now if I went for it) lmao

In general, a lifter's deadlift of whatever type (conventional or sumo) would be higher than his/her squat. But also notice that quite a few raw superheavies tend to squat more than their deadlift. Leverages? perhaps. I'm not entirely sure.
