    yeah, i use calorie-count.com but all the sites are saying a cup has like 40g of protein. that cant be right before most cans have 40g of protein im their smaller than a cup...

    The larger the can, the more protein it is going to have. An average cup of tuna should have 40-45 grams of protein. That's the usual stat. If you were talking about 1lb of tuna, then it should have about 80-90g protein average.

    I may be off, since a cup is volume and ounces are weight, but I just count a 6oz (typical size of an inexpensive can) can of tuna as being 3/4 cup because 1 1/3 cans of tuna would be 8oz.

    Like I said, it's probably not mathematically sound. But that's how I roll.
