everywhere i read online tho besides this thread it said dont take creatine take whey protein instead because creatine builds up muscle fast but once you stop taking it will just start fading away ? and it mentioned something like creatine was closely related to roids aswell ?
am currently working out 6 months have seen great changes and i'm currently trying to put on some mass,so would creatine be a good solution to that ?
by the way i'am not on any sort of diet, dont eat sweets or drink fizzzy drinks tho
cheers

Nice write up. You should get this stickied.
Everytime I buy a new supplement, specially a type of protein, my parents and friends usually end up taking crap saying how its harmful and useless. At least now I have hard facts to back up my claims.
I really liked the creatine section though, really indepth and I learnt things I had no clue about, example: prevention of muscle catabolism.
Whats your view of Scifits Kre-Alkalyn 1500. I know its not creatine monohydrate but how useful is it. I had people telling me all sorts of good things about it and that I it can be taken all year round.
Btw, how did you come across all this information OP? Just curious

Just want to say thanks. The effort put into this is amazing. Showed it to my parents who have been at my throat for taking things like creatine or protein in powdered form just because they've never heard of it or "got by" back in their day without it. Bodybuilders don't just 'get by' in life. Thats why we are the way we are. The concept of just getting by is so ridiculous to me. How and ever, this post really help me explain the safety etc of such supplements. Thanks a lot
I lol I rep.
RIP Az

thank you to everyone above seriously made my day to read those comments completely srs thanks so much I will be repping everyone this week, dont worry I will get to you for sure, if I somehow miss you just pm me and remind me! thanks again yall!!
kre alk is creatine mono with baking soda (soda ash), its fine to take but its not superior to reg mono. the only reason people notice no bloat from it is because its a smaller dose, they were taking too much before hence the bloat. but you can take any creatine year round really, but if you are saturated you only need 2-3g on workout days or everyother day. no need for every day. and lots and lots of reading on pubmed thanks again for reading it

Nice work OP. Tons of good info. I was just debating with a friend the other day about someone on a high protein diet getting a kidney stone. I said it wasn't related to diet, he disagrees. Some research I will have to keep for the future. Thanks.
65 overweight individuals on a high protein diet showed no signs of kidney damage over a 6 month period. Keep in mind, this is a good sign considering obesity is generally accompanied by impaired function of the kidneys. [18]***Canadian Crew***
