How many Weetabix can YOU eat?

I'm always hearing people tell me they can only eat one... or two Weetabix. I get bloated easily, but I recall a time when I ate so many Weetabix that I lost count of how many Weetabix I had actually eaten. People are always shocked when I say I have 2 and 1/2 weetabix with additional things for breakfast. Are Weetabix really that bloating? I don't think they're actually that filling and even after eating my usual Weetabix, I feel there's still room for more. I recall eating at least 4 on one occasion.

So, how many can you eat?

Also have a picture of some Weetabix I ate last week (with Greek yogurt and blueberries and raisins).

How does no one know what Weetabix are? Is it just a UK thing? They're dry depending on how much milk or water you add. They're nicer than they look anyway.

Maybe some beef gravy would help their reputation.

    Is it really THAT bad?

    0.8 fat (0.2 sat fat)
    25.7 carbs (3.8 fiber, 1.7 sugar)
    4.3 protein
    32% iron
    ?
I didn't actually think my nutrition was that bad honestly, but I'm new to lifting so maybe I'm wrong. I go with the macros and calories.

It's not bad...it's similar to shredded wheat. We have it in Canada. The bloating that some people complain about is caused from the fiber...for example one serving of shredded wheat has 7g of fiber and most people double their servings. Same goes with oats....people complain about bloat, which is normally caused by the high fiber content. Stay consistent and your body adjusts over time. But it seems like you're not having any issues with it so eat away.

    Gonna help the OP out.

I used to have them, they taste good with a bit of sugar/sweetener.

But just like you they do not fill me up in the SLIGHTEST. I have eaten 8 before (warmed with milk) and have felt just as hungry.

I think your best bet is to switch and go with porridge, much more filling

Porridge I know what that is. This Weetabix thing I don't think I could stomach that.
You could find something higher in fiber than this Weetabix item. Fiber makes you bloat due to it's ability to hold onto water it also helps you use the bathroom. Though there is a limit on fiber you should intake because it can cause mass earthquakes in your bowels.

That's good to know. We have shredded wheat too, but I haven't had that since I was younger, so I can hardly remember what it tastes like. My fiber was actually quite low and I was bloating a lot later in the day. Since eating more fiber though (mostly wheat bran), I've found that I hardly get bloated now. Also, am I misjudging the effect of the fiber then, since you both say fiber bloats people? It seems to have lessened the bloat with me. I usually sprinkle some wheat bran over the Weetabix for extra fiber too.

At least someone has heard of them haha. I used to have them with sweetener when I was younger, but for the past year or so I've been texture > taste, and I'm addicted to the texture of them. Lately I just usually load up on egg whitest too, or just add a lot of Greek yogurt to them because they expand quite a lot with the Greek yogurt. I do have porridge oats but mostly pre-workout. Honestly, I don't think anything will fill me up when I wake up, but it's probably because I've went so long without food while sleeping.

The more your body adjusts to a set pattern the less it bloats.
That is why people who go on bulks first see typical gains over what they have started eating.

Say a man has been on a cut for 5 months and then decides to bulk clean his first month weigh in he will think he has completely wasted his 5 month cut because of the initial bloat caused by the extra calories.

Same goes with fiber you should research it, going from small amounts of fiber to a normal or too much fiber can cause initial bloat which will settle once your body adjusts to the fiber intake.
Now if you over injest fiber say 70+ grams of fiber your bowels will be feeling it.

Thanks. I always get worried that maybe I'm doing something wrong because there's always something contradicting something else, but the calories have always made sense to me. I was just shocked no one had heard of them because they're so well known in the UK. Looking at the picture someone else posted though, I can see why someone would want to avoid them. They do taste bad dry, but I don't know anyone who willingly eats them dry anyway.

Yeah, that's probably why I'm bloating then because I was on a major calorie deficit for a while after a restrict/binge cycle, so I'm trying to force my body to adjust to normality. I was originally getting less than 20g of fiber per day on some days, but since upping my calories I was getting 20g+, but lately I've been aiming for 30g-40g. I've read a few times that anything over 40g would be too much as you could lose vitamins, so I'm trying not to go above that. Either way, 30g-40g seems to be agreeing with me.

Weetabix is delicious. i won a competition on a school tour last year, the challenge was who could consume the most weetabix dry, with no milk or water in 10 minutes.. I havent eaten it much since as you can imagine, but with milk it beats oatmeal

I've tried Weetabix dry once, but I couldn't force myself to swallow it. At lest, I think that might have been Weetabix, or porridge oats... or maybe both at the same time actually. I think Weetabix are better than oats too, there's just something addictive about them. I still love oats though.

the only way to make weetabix bearable is to smother it in sugar.

    The stuff is just disgusting.

also, @ you hippie mother****ers that eat cornflakes with warm milk and let it get really soggy, take a long hard look at yourself.
I fart every time I deadlift. No idea how loud either cos of headphones. Fuark.

    Weetabix

People are always shocked when I say I have 2 and 1/2 weetabix with additional things for breakfast. Are Weetabix really that bloating? I don't think they're actually that filling and even after eating my usual Weetabix, I feel there's still room for more. I recall eating at least 4 on one occasion.

So, how many can you eat?

Also have a picture of some Weetabix I ate last week (with Greek yogurt and blueberries and raisins).

Hello all togehter, im from germany and i just looked for information about the Weetabix via google, and then i found your question about Weetabix. I was laughing so loud, i decided to register me here. I hope you all can understand me.

I wondered, im 24 years old, and for me its absolutely easy to eat more than 4-5 Weetabix. Do I´m a monster know? So best regards and hope to read more good storys here. Benjamin!
