How many articles do you have?
Despite the SEO tricks and tactics that prevalent in the business, the bottom line is that you're going to generate the vast, vast majority of your traffic through organic search results and worth of mouth. The more quality content you have, the more opportunities you have to appear in search results even if it is for some super obscure keyword like: "is it okay to take four scoops of jack3d". The better your content is the higher your chances of getting organic backlinks and being endorsed by movers and shakers in your industry. In the end, it comes down to hard work. The person with 500 high quality articles is always going to show up more in the search results, get more backlinks, and have more social signals than the person with 10, 25, or even 50.
TL;DR: produce more HIGH QUALITY content!www.PowerliftingToWin.com

That's 100% correct, but he's not asking how much he is paying for ads; he is asking how much he is being paid for them. Moose is correct, though. For some keywords, there are a ton of advertisers who want to show up when that word is searched. They all compete with each to drive the price higher. When there are few competitors for a keyword, advertisers don't have to pay as much for it. So, if a keyword has a really high CPC, it is probably a very competitive word. You'll be paid more when people click on ads for these keywords.

Yea, going through some people's stuff and it seems to be down
I still have my site going but mainly because originally I wasnt looking to make money from it or anything, nothing successful though... got one of my articles viral and had 6000 unique visitors in one day and around 8000 over the last 3 days, but didn't make that much money from Adsense

brahs, can I please get some feedback on the aesthetics of my layout? http://www.powerliftingtowin.com/
Still working on the logo. I have a great idea for it. I just haven't built it yet because I've been spending that time on other design aspects and article writing.
A few outsider critiques would really, really help though. Thanks brahs. Reps in advance.www.PowerliftingToWin.com

Maybe the ones who failed should've wrote a businessplan. Just so you're prepared and have every step laid out. I think most of the failures just started of with zero experience or nothing. Just a thought.
Edit:
The layout looks good with the plug ins, but there's just something with the color combination that make it look strange. Maybe an idea to look at other websites and their color combinations.Last edited by maouam; 02-04-2014 at 05:01 AM.

Sorry to call you out brah but he (moosecakes4all) is right !
The backlinks you sell is chit and most sites will get blacklisted from Google after buying links from grandmaseo. It can be blacklisted rapidly or just when the next Google Penguin will be launched.
Let me look closely at the offers you sell :
$20 for 250 links, $40 for 500 links, $80 for 1000 links.
- At these rates, your "workers" but be automated bots posting "masterpin" content.
- All links 2.0 you talk about is "social posts". Wtf is this chit ? ******** messages ? It means almost nothing to SEO : content of messages is crap and links are in nofollow mostly.
Real SEO is not that at all.
Again, I'm sorry to you call you out but I needed to do it since you're wrong and I don't want any business shut down because of your poor services.

Lol wut? The way to get blacklisted from Google is to repeatedly have someone blast spammy backlinks to your site. If you do it once to boost your website's backlinks, chances are you'll be fine. It's rare that Google blacklists you immediately and it's usually because you let the person who does the backlinks for you use the same IP address over and over. If you have someone who knows what they're doing, then you won't have to worry about getting blacklisted for blasting links once.
If you're an idiot and keep buying gigs that repeatedly blast with Xrumer, Scrapebox, etc, then chances are Google will get you sooner or later, no matter who does the work or how many IPs you use.

Agree with the other brah, layout is clear and looks alright, not sure about the colour scheme, I think anyone starting a site should at least go to fiverr and buy a logo, I mean its a 5$ and will look way better than what you have. That can go on your twitter and fb too.
SPeaking of which it says you have 0 tweets and I could not find your fb........... Make some connections on there if you can look busy.
Now you have to use any too you can and work like a mofo to make it. Got dinner on will try think of some other stuff.

Don't worry about traffic until you have about 100+ quality articles up (just put up as many as you can per day)
During the time that you are writing these articles 3 things will happen:
1.) Google will start crawling your site more often
2.) You will start ranking for low volume long tail keywords and in turn visitors will start finding your site
3.) Search engines that are NOT google will also start crawling your site and people who don't use google will start visiting your site
P.S: You must spread each article across the web once you publish it
I'd give you more advice but then i'd have to charge :P

This, ok you do not HAVE to have 100 up before you worry about traffic in all cases, lots of you brahs are in a crowded niche though so you need to add content, value and put a spin on your site, why should I go to your site over yetanothersuppsite.com
Its not just spreading articles but YOUR brand, around the net, in someways starting a site and putting content up is the easy part. After that comes the hustle, making contacts, remember you need them more than they need you right now.
This is all stuff you need to look into for yourself because as cashinout said people charge for this ****. I am only onto creating my second site but I with the study I have done in the last few months I feel confident I could increase your visitors in a few months by just adding content and being more "social" how you do that is up to you to discover because there are a shed load of ways some free and some you will have spend on.
Powerlift brah, some of your images seem blurry in some posts, cannot watch your vids right now but you look really passionate about it from them and from your about, if you can get that across someway as soon as people land on your site that would be a boon. As it is you have to pick a video or go to your about section to really get a feel for your love of the game and qualifications.

Thanks for the feed back!
Yikes! Just fixed the Twitter/FB links. I've had those up and running for a while. Props for pointing that out.
Damn. This is the 2nd or 3rd time I've received this feedback on the color scheme. Definitely going to have to play around with it, I guess. For reference, here is the demo of the theme I'm using:
http://demo.themonic.com/io/
Do you guys think that "grey" background color looks better than my black version? Maybe I could switch back to that? I decided to darken it a bit because Powerlifting is somewhat edgy and hardcore.
I was trying to model the following sites which I really think look good:
www.usapowerlifting.com
www.powerliftingusa.com
Here are a few other ones that are at least popular although I don't like their designs as much:

Theme looks fine to me, I guess I just prefer your background to be a colour rather than that tiled stuff, thats personal though brah. Simple is good though I think.
I’ve been lifting competitively for about two to three years in both the USAPL and the UPA. My best raw lifts in competition are a 551(with wraps) squat, a 320 bench, and a 535 deadlift at 220lbs.
I dont know how impressive that is in total honesty but if it is then you should find a way to get that on the page where people can see, Hi my name is Thomas "izzy" second name (lol) a competative and passionate powerlifter who wants to share blah bah blah, if y ou have any friend in the biz, judges, competitors, professionals then isnt that a great thing for your site????
