THIS. - Heath's arms are pretty much the ideal proportions every thing flows in them down to his monster forearms, IMO he really does have the GOAT arms, if a human was to be built with perfect arms they should look like those of Heath. If I had arms like this I would be wearing a tank top 24/7 and would even modify any suits into tank tops to show them off.

The problem with Phil's forearms is that they make his triceps appear smaller in the side tricep, it's a simple illusion, if his forearms were smaller, his triceps would look much bigger.

The Olympia uses much more than the minimum required judges. Only 5 scores are used for every athlete, the highest and lowest are tossed out so that the middle is taken (this is to reduce bias).

*that* is how someone can get "perfect scores" even if not all the judges had them first.


This stuff has been beaten to death on PBW. I'm surprised by how many people still don't know how shows are judged.

My complaint is that frankly it was kinda suspicious, and that the firsts should have been a bit more distributed between Kai and Phil for it to be an extremely close Olympia, as the head judge professed.

I *do* see your point, but all I'm sayin is that last time I went to the Olympia, they had like 12 judges. Even if you get 5 perfect scores, that means *7* scores are tossed out (in other words, more than half of the scores). I think it's just that we hear "perfect scores" and that automatically gets us thinking that something shady must have happened in a competition as close as this one(even I got thinking a little, till I remembered how the Olympia usually has a lot of judges).

Triceps as a whole is probably debatable. but bigger forearms than Phil? I don't think that's even debatable whether it's in pics or in person/reality. I've never heard any other bodybuilder, writer, photographer say that Kai's forearms are huge. On the other hand they have said that Phil probably has the biggest and best forearms in the game right now. Kai's forearms look like toothpicks next to Phil's forearms.

lol at the reactions to my post. I never said he lacks thickness, but this thread pretty much became a Kai vs Phil thread. And what Phil have better then Kai in some poses are detail. But most people seem to get confused about this and say Kai lacks thickness or Phil thickness is so impressive.

Phil's tricep looks huge in this picture. Or any picture. I'm struggling to see them in the light you describe. They stand out more in this picture than any muscle on either of them. The first thing your eyes are drawn to when you first look at this picture is the size of that bloody Philip Heath tricep.

All I said was that Phil's triceps look less dominant because of the size of his forearms and if they were smaller, his triceps would appear more dominant.

Actually he does. Due to his attachments being so short he doesn't have that thickness a Phil or Roelly/Levrone/Priest has.

Kai's arms are a lot like Ronnie's. Arms are huuuuuuuuge with crazy peaks as biceps and massive sweep in bdb pose in the triceps but if you compare the tricep itself to say Phil's/Roelly's/Levrones it is small.

Well from what I saw of both in contest shape Phil's were much bigger popping off the bone.

If you said legs/chest/back/biceps i would agree. Maybe a 300lb offseason Kai's forearms yeah but not contest shape no.

if you look at kais vs phils arms.. you will see kai has a smaller lateral head, phil has a very large lateral head.. as for the long head of the tricep kai's is much larger then phils.. hence why they look so much bigger from the rear and not in the MM and side tri..

I don't think so imo. I think it looks bigger in rear shorts cause of short attachments. I think Phil has much more muscle there but due to short attachments Kai has crazy sweep from rear shots and fdb.

Kai's triceps aren't short, but their shape isn't nowhere near as good as Phil's. Short triceps - Rsardinia, maybe Serge Nubret... Very rare, but they look cool. I have myself one too, sometimes sucks beign almost 6'3. Building short triceps is harder than building short calf insertions.

At least get them both making a fist to compare forearm size so they are tensing their forearms. Kai making his fingers straight like that automatically flattens out his forearms so that's not even a fair comparison. But either way, Phil's forearms > all, even Roelly.
