Bench was about as strong as I expected it was gonna be.
It would be silly to expect a PR at almost 10 lbs lighter and not having properly peaked the bench.

Squat

I don't know how to explain it. I planned on going this morning and doing a moderate double in preparation for my 500 attempt on Friday. As soon as I started squatting my first warm up set, I knew that 500 lb squat was today.
Idk if I am peaked or not, but for some ridiculous reason my mindset was perfect today, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity.
My only regret is deciding to set the pins higher for 500 set. I really wish I just sacked up and the set without them. I ended up hitting them about an inch before where I wanted to be.
Anyways, regardless, 500 on my back has been a huge mental roadblock to me for over a year now, and I had very little fear of the weight when I had it on my back today, and now I am ready to start using my knee sleeves and really move forward with the squats.
Deadlift max will be friday.
I expect to crush another squat PR whenever I lift with the PL crew next, I won't need to set pins then.

Its more than a milestone right now. I have never been able to commit to doing anything resembling a squat with 500 before today. I was able to come in in the morning with no sleep after having already worked out today and have the mental fortitude to commit to it. It was much easier than my last 2 squat PR's too.
Its been a mental roadblock for 14 months, and now I think I can start to move my squat again.
Idk man, I'm really not sure what I should try for on the deadlift.
My first attempt is def gonna be 560 or 565, I would be happy with any DL PR tbh.

Front Squat Smolov Write Up
Results
1. Upper back improved tremendously
2. Bench Press suffered a little due to fatigue when training it
3. Back squat form improved a lot
4. Deadlift ?????
Future Implications
I think I will Front squat twice a week going forward, and limit back squats to low volume and very high intensity. I think I will do this until my front squat gets to within 60-70 lbs of my back squat (if that ever happens), because for the time being, that seems like the best idea going forward.

going well. my squat and dead are actually staying about the same during my cut. im still at 140, about 4 more lbs to drop and im sitting around 9% right now. I low bared squatted for the first time in about 4 months and got 445 with some strugle and dead 500 for the lols at a pl meet i went to this weekend. Bench is down though, probably 240.
Havent gone heavy in oly in some time though. Im really thinking of combining the two and just lifting for fun with no real goal in place.
