Ok my mind cannot comprehend what happened two days ago. For the sake of hanging out, my buddies and I went fishing two days ago.
Temperature 32-44 degrees
fishing from 6am to 12
Up until 10, 2 fish caught (blue/silver 3in poppers because yolo)
10-11 another 2 fish caught at a secret spot we go to for guaranteed but not big bass. (blue/silver 3inch poppers)
We decided to progressively move further down the lake
11-12, EVERY SINGLE CAST with a bright colored crankbait was a fish. I had an orange/red crankbait, my friend had an orange, and my other friend had blue orange red
Ended the day with 46 bass total in frigid temps. There was a solunar period at 12, and for whatever reason the fishing died out.
I would've caught more fish to break 50, but I was too busy taking pictures then turning around to take pictures and then turning around to take pics again.
Only 5 were over a lb so not even pic worthy.
Has anyone else had a day like this on freshwater?Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

This one was a quick Youth Weekend duck hunting trip, we dragged the kayaks along since we'd be down anyway. Nothing like driving 3 hours to watch the kid shoot some ducks and catch a few fish just to turn around and drive 3 hours home. Big dude is too old for Youth weekend now, so he waited in the truck. Feels weird man.
The boys yakking.
I ended up paddling back and forth helping them out, but I did manage to pull in a pretty nice Speckled Trout in between rigging the boys up. She swallowed my Hackberry Hustler deep down into her belly so she ended up in my cooler with "Medium's" ducks.

LOL yeah I think there's a consumption advisory for those.
Over the next hour or so we ended up netting 7 Milky Beasts, 4 diet Mountain Dew, 1 HEB vanilla Cola, and 1 water bottle. I never saw any boats really nearby, never saw an ice chest floating around, and pretty sure nobody sunk out near us or we would have heard some commotion because it was super calm and quiet out there. I'm guessing somebody lost a chest probably the day before and didn't realize it.

I've got some GREAT pictures from my last camping/surf fishing trip. As soon as I hit 50 posts, I'll hit them up. Let me put it this way..we stopped counting oversized Redfish at 30, and ended up with 3 sharks from 5-6.5' long.
Soon as I hit 50, I'll post them up.
