I have lower back problems that will most likely not go away (per many docs and chiro's) Because of this I avoid deadlifts for fear that I will throw my back out again. However in an effort to try and better my situation, I'm wondering if adding light deadlifts could be beneficial to my back problems in the long run. I have a small curve in my lower spine and one vertebrea is slightly turned. I get cracked on a regular but relief is temporary. The doc referred me to a chiro.
Note: The doc says my job is to blame for my back. I'm a copper splicer, which has me climbing telephone poles, pulling 250lb manhole lids, and carrying an 80lb ladder on my shoulder daily. I have been doing this job for 11 years.
