Ivanko makes a 6'2" ez curl bar. Its not 7' but its supposed to fit inside a rack.

I've been thinking about getting one but I was unsure if the extra length would cause balance issues (for skull crushers), since the weight is further apart. What do you think?Last edited by BigDogIt; 11-05-2008 at 06:41 AM.

I want this bar to use in my power rack when doing skull crushers. My rack is 47" wide and the Ivanko has a 53 1/2" gripping area so it should work. I rarely use an EZ curl bar for biceps because it mainly works the medial biceps head and barely stimulates the lateral head or the brachialis. By using a straight bar with a narrower that shoulder width grip you work all three heads equally which is better unless you are trying to bring up a weakness.

there are 24 inch olympic sleeves for a regular curl bar....i was thinking of getting them and sliding them on...two of them together would extend my curl bar by about 4 feet.....they were opnly $24 for the pair.
might be a solution that would cost less than a 7ft curl bar.
