It's a tough question. I got married @ 23yrs old. I have 3 kids my youngest 12 and oldest is 16. It was hard financually but I got through it. I am divorced now.
My sister got married at 37yrs old. They were ok financually then and have 3 kids 4,6 and 8. There marriage will last. However, they are struggling in the finance arena right now due to the ressecion.
We talk about this alot.
Me growing up with the kids and being younger and her being older growing up with the kids.
I can still throw down with my 16yr old son. When there son is 16 they will be 50 and 51yrs old.

Got married at 35. Had been dating my wife for three years prior to that, and before I met my wife, had a lot of girlfriends and fun. Once I met her, I knew that was it--fifteen years later, my wife is still the ultimate in hotness for me.
Really, though, any age mentioned in the poll is okay, as long as you have the maturity (more or less) and wisdom to try and make the marriage successful, and the finances the get at least the basics on the table. By your mid-thirties, one would expect to have those finances in place, although with today's economy, I take nothing for granted. It isn't like it was when my parents were around and I was a kid; times are crappy all over and a lot of people are struggling, me included. But there it is.
OP, FWIW, when you meet Ms. Right--as opposed to Ms. Right NOW!--you'll both know, and just take it from there. Good luck with it all."Don't call me Miss Kitty. Just...don't."--Catnip. Check out the Catnip Trilogy on Amazon.com
"Chivalry isn't dead. It just wears a skirt."--Twisted, the YA gender bender deal of the century!

Ummmmmmmmmmmm...well......... we got married at 28 which I thought was a good age.
Definately tried and tested the waters by then.
My friends in their mid to late 30s both male and female who are single are finding it difficult to find a life partner despite several of both sexes being really keen to settle down as they want kids.
It seems that the common problem with both genders is that they have grown quite independent in their 30s and are less able to compromise.
OMG the rows and arguments they have when young love should be ripe and golden is unreal.
Now these are all 'never-been-married-before-singles' and not divorcees.
so, eh, yeah... just my twopenneth worth!

Sorry, that's a typo. I took out "late 20's" and left it at "30". And because...this is a time when you've already passed the "fresh out of the house/college" stage, and puts you somewhat a few years into a career path too. It's simply a matter of being more mature and experienced.
"If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."
