Don't know why so many Americans are scared of being socialists....we already are pretty much . I was reading this book called 'The 4th Reich' and it showed the parallels between our current society and the 3rd Reich...creepy stuff. Was identical across the board in many areas.

While I do not doubt the intent of the book, I would question its empiricism. It's probably just alarmist at best. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

Not really...dollar menu is incredibly cheap. Is a lot easier to fork over a dollar for a double cheeseburger than to make a homemade meal. That's why Americans are so fat...we're all about convenience, indulging, and a good deal.

For some of us, it's possible. For a single mom working two jobs, her time is indeed money and she'd rather buy a Happy Meal than cook green beans and baked chicken. You should read Nickel & Dimed by Barbara Ehrenreich. Remarkable eye opener.

Well the thing I like most is that he's not your typical 'conspiracy theorist' or 'alarmist'. He does not insinuate, he merely produces evidence, dissects it, shows parallels and give you the tools to make your own assumptions. Most of his evidence comes from the National Library of Congress, and even former Senators / people involved in gov't.

I don't know how to describe it...it just is noticeably different. Wouldn't say it tastes more 'clean' or whatever. For some reason my taste isn't partial to 'clean' vs. 'bad' beef...they taste the same to me lol. Probably have not eaten enough grass fed beef to tell (have to go to a butcher here to get that, and they're quite expensive and not as common as in europe.) Only sensitive to chicken so far...can definitely tell if it's not organic.
