Does anybody know how I go about filing a complaint against FedEx? I don't even know if I should contact bb.com (the package in question)???
I placed an order last Thurs. Told them I'd pick it up at the terminal on Sat bc of weather. Go to pick it up - they don't have it, it's on a truck. So, I said our road will be better Mon., so they can deliver -- but they do home deliveries on Mon. So, I said I will pick it up -- got there and didn't have it, it was on a truck. They ASSURED me, it would be out for delivery Tues. Didn't deliver bc the driver's mother was sick. ASSURED me it would be out for delivery Wed. Called today and they said they don't really know where that package is, but they'll call me when they "find it." No returned phone call. I call back -- "we have in our records that you are picking it up." I told them that was Sat/Mon., but the holds were removed. She got got rude and basically called me a liar, said her records didn't indicate that. She tells me she removed the hold and ASSURED me it would be on the truck tomorrow. Then in a smartass fashion she says "ah ma'am it looks like snow is headed your way tomorrow, I hope they can deliver." I figure tomorrow's excuse will be a dog ate it.

Sorry to hear about your troubles...
I've had a few negative experiences with FedEx as well. They are usually fairly reliable, but they do some very boneheaded things sometimes and I try to chalk it up to the fact that they have millions of customers to please.
I'm fairly sure that no good will come of complaining to BB.com, or FedEx for that matter. I think your best bet is to simply not use their service anymore.
Again, sorry to hear about your bad luck. I know the feeling.

Thanks for your advice. I guess I should have prefaced it with, this is my experience with FedEx 90% of the time and I get 2-4 pkgs a month. If they weren't so rude, I wouldn't be so upset. If I had any other choice besides FedEx, I would have stopped using them years ago. Unfortunately, it's waaay too $$ to ship USPS from bb.com (not to mention the pkg would be too big for the mailbox and I'd have to go pick it up). I'm probably going to have to consider shopping somewhere else that uses UPS bc I never have problems with them.

I had issues where a package was left on my porch and stolen.
I was told by FedEx to have the company I bought from contact them/file a complaint about it. I did, FedEx "investigated" and ultimately reimbursed the company for the package and the company shipped me a replacement. The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance- it is the illusion of knowledge.

personally i dont even call them. if i have problem with a order i call the company that send it the have more power and can make claim faster. BB.com has a great costumer service. give them a call or chat with them.

If it's not here tomorrow... this is what I'll do. I paid $10 to have it shipped to me, not to make 3 attempts to go pick it up myself (a 20min ride each way). And what I just found out is that my mom had ordered some bb.com for me as a gift and it was suppose to be here today as well (via FedEx). Alas the tracking says "rescheduled" for tomorrow. If they aren't both here tomorrow...
I guess in the future, I'll be ordering somewhere besides bb.com bc this mess is so not worth it!~ Julie

I agree, I would rather stick with bb.com. If I choose USPS, I will have 2 major problems. The s/h will be more than double the cost of FedEx and the box would be too big/heavy for the mailbox. So, I'd have to pay a lot more just to go pick it up at the post office myself anyway.
See I get AMAZING service with UPS. He will even call on snowy days and be like I can't get up your road, but if you meet me at the bottom I'll wait for you. Instead of just taking it back with no phone calls. I once had a package sent to me at Cmas from FedEx that I obviously didn't know was coming. They had it at their facility for about 2 weeks (due to weather) and at no point did they even call to let me know it was there to pick up if I wanted. Instead they just returned it to my friend -- UPS woulda called.Last edited by JC32; 02-24-2010 at 02:51 PM.
