That's great, Erin!! I would be positively beaming if one of my boys came home with a letter like that.
I might even photocopy it and post it around town. Just because!
Good job, Mike!!
Oh, I'm so torn.
On one hand, I would LOVE to do it. On the other hand I feel like I would be better suited standing in the corner covering my eyes and shuddering/laughing.

I put my faith in the people, but the people let me down, so I turned the other way I carried on anyhow.

I practically cried when I read it. Of course, I have no idea where he gets that from. I'm a technical writer, but definitely not a creative writer. And his dad ain't no poet. I have read some of his poems this year and they are very good. He wrote one about my grandmother that got me choked up.

I'm off sick today (cough, cough) So I think it's the perfect day to go check out a new gym and hit my favorite chinese buffet. Chinese buffets make everything better.

He had no idea that he got it, either. He was at his dad's and when he came home I asked if anything interesting was going on in school that he wanted to tell me about. He said no. I told him that maybe he should read the letter I got from his principal. He looked nervous (the dork). But after he read it I think he was a little awed. He just said "Wow, that's really awesome." I know he really likes and respects this teacher, so the fact that she wrote what she did about him meant a lot.

That's a pretty impressive record, but I can just about guarantee that if you worked for the arrogant, holier than thou, mental midgets I work for, you would rack up a couple sick days here and there. If, for no other reason than needing a day off to keep your sanity in tact.

Gross.
In the 10 years Ryan and I have been together, he's taken ONE sick day and it was only because he was so sick he spent the night in the hospital and spent the following day dying in bed. He was bad at work the day after that though.
Double gross!!

It was kind of fun! I was laughing at some of the thread titles. A few of them were what they ended up being - they were when PGL changed them every day.

Some of the schools here had the kids dress as if they were 100 years old. They showed some of it on the news today - too funny.
Took me a second to remember that. I know I wouldn't start no thread called "Hump Day Chat" or "Naughty Girls and Their Disciples" and I know UniversityMisc ain't trying to jack my Christmas Card verse.Last edited by RebeccaG; 02-10-2012 at 09:24 AM.

We get a little newspaper every week called "The Suburban Press", they publish all the restaurant inspection reports and ratings. This little chinese place always gets an A+ rating. Most buffets....no thanks, this one....I'll eat in. I think they know me by name now, even if they can't pronounce it.
