Is 6 hours of sleep ok?

I cant seem to sleep at night. I am not depressed, am not stressed out or w.e

I was fine like 3 months ago but now i just find it hard to fall asleep. I would go to bed at 9pm and close my eyes and relax my mind... (trust me i feel relaxed). Its just that i cant enter REM sleep (a.k.a deep sleeping) until after like 12:30am or something like that. So pretty much im in bed attempting to sleep without success.

I feel SOOO tired during the day i just dont feel it that much at night :S

So bottom line is im getting about 6hours of sleep everynight yet i feel like **** the next day.

Is this going to stunt my growth (both height and muscular gains)

    Thank u!

If you're 16 you shoot shoot for 9 hours of sleep per day

if you sleep 6 hours .. just lay there for 3 more, its the only way you're gonna adjust your body .. and workout and **** more during the day cuz then your body will demand more rest
9/16/09 = the day i quit smoking cigarettes forever.

I dont think i would be able to squeeze in 3 extra hours. AS of right now im already sleeping at 9pm but the problem is i dont fall asleep until 11-12

I need techniques to falling asleep faster.

    Reading a book, warm milk....etc

    Those help?

You won't become dependent on melatonin, just go to walmart and get a bottle for $5. It won't make you just pass out, it relaxes you and helps you fall asleep faster. Your body produces it while your asleep, it helps you stay asleep and keep you relaxed so you don't wake yourself up.

I take it, 25 min before bed.

exactly right, never rely on **** to make you do normal daily things thats how addictions and other things are formed

    example

if you go to sleep at 10 pm

DO NOT DRINK OR EAT ANYTHING IDC ANYTHING 2 hours before bed.. if youre dying of thirst have a sip of water .

Plenty of pro bodybuilders with sleep problems, it's not good but it's not going to break you.

Some people need 5 hours, some need 10. I think 8 is a good balance. Just fap or watch south park/family guy before sleeping and it'll help. Laying down in your bed waiting to fall asleep is just a pain in the ass.

You could try this supplement called melatonin. I think its like a vitamin. My doctor told me its non addictive and it actually helped me sleep better.

Melatonin gives me HORRIBLE NIGHTMARES. I'm talking repeated, successive nightmares, all about killing, dying, 'n' such. Benadryl leaves me groggy the next day.
