Reem lost before the fight. He was not expecting hat type of war-readiness from Silva and his heart wasn't in it. Nobody has ever come at the Reem the way Silva has. I wasn't really on the Reem wagon to begin with anyway. Cain would've exhausted him first round. He was still a pick for me though.
I underestimated Silva's standup. In all fairness, the guy does have gigantism, which makes his hands the size of canon balls.

It's insane and unfathomable to me how a guy that was such a crazy good kickboxer could do so poorly against a guy just because he 'underestimated' him
MMA proves yet again in the Overeem fight to be unpredictably insaneOWE ME reps for life: dcarrera

HA HA!
I am the only one here that tells it like it is!
I told you guys, from the start! You bitches cried, insulted, made excuses.. And for what? HA HA. Unlike you guys, I don't get my facts from Rogan or from fighter physiques or unwarranted hype.
Bigfoot and I get the hespect we deserve on the same night!
Props to Lawler for showing his face here, even though he is trying to make light of the situation to hide his embarrassment/shame, it is still a lot more than most people here would and have done. I see his boyfriend hasn't shown his face though, but we'll give him some more time.
Remember ladies, Overeem is the biggest bitch in MMA, and always has been.

Haha you are so butthurt, It is eating you! Look at you now bitch, pwahaha I am loving it!
And you act like I say Bisping is the man, I just call you ******s out on not having good reasons to hate him. He's not even in my top 10 favourite fighters. You have failed, just like Overeem.
Plus I was here after Vitor KO'd Bisping, but you were either too scared or too dumb to give me my so called dues, or maybe I didn't suck on his dick like you did on Overeems and therefore, no dues to be given.
Better luck next time.-Telling it like it is since 2009

Then why are you trying to pick arguments with me? These bitches here can give it and do give it, but they can't take it.
When I call them out they act like I'm being unreasonable and they can't handle it, you are doing the same. People here won't say things how they are, they are scared of insults, negs etc, so they just go with the popular opinion.
Now is the time they have to eat it, so let them eat it, there is enough of them, they don't need your help.
P.S, you must have been leading the anti-Overeem charge from behind me, lol.-Telling it like it is since 2009

Overeem will rematch bigfoot and destroy him. The problem with Overeem is he's only ever one decent shot away from folding. He can beat anybody and make it look easy but he can also get beaten by anybody. People get confused with his kickboxing credentials, like I said he has the ability to beat anybody as he showed by beating Hari but he is always vulnerable. He's also technically not on par with the likes of Spong and Bonjasky and only competed with them because they are essentially lhw. All that being said his skillset should allow him to dominate any HW in MMA when it comes to striking. His own stupidity in dropping his hands and leaving his chin up is what cost him.

the level of douchebagery reem showed through this entire camp and fight process was completely unreal, but I guess u can develop a god complex when every moron associated with the fight game(fighters, coaches, fans, brass) are kissing ur ass on a daily basis. what a joke
and the blackzillians having the best fighters, training camps, and marketing in the bizz.......lol GTFO
props to lawler though, he might be the biggest troll in this section but at least hes loyal, lol*Unholy Three Inc*

No of course not.
By being trash long before that fight.
lol, yeah lets downgrade a KO.
It is his 3rd loss at HW.
I'm not a troll, I am just giving back the **** you guys handed out over the years.
Your butthurt is satisfying though.
One more fight then Reem is out, back to Japan where he can blow up to Bob Sapp-like proportions and fight retired pro wrestlers.-Telling it like it is since 2009

02-03-2013, 03:02 PM #51So, to recap the past several years of Overeem's career: Overeem suddenly morphed from a glorified middleweight to a heavyweight while fighting in Japan -- where they don't even do the minimal performance-enhancing drug testing that's done over here -- and goes on a monster win streak. He flunks a test over here. He returns from his suspension and his physique looks nothing like it did for his previous fight against Brock Lesnar. And suddenly, his power is missing. If you can't connect the dots on this one, you're being willfully obtuse at best.RIP Anderson Silva - GOAT of MMA.

You obviously didn't watch Overeem in K-1. He used the cover up and shell defense there too. He definitely hasn't worked out how to effectively defend and then get off offensively as well in MMA when compared to his abilities.
Werdum wasn't close to KOing Alistair, but he did do better on the feet than he had any business doing because Alistair was focusing heavily on defending takedowns and guard pulling, and I think Werdum surprised him with how wild he was.Deathstroke and I list our most hilariously awful WCW moments (lots of gifs & vids; expect load time):

I've watched a little K-1 and do remember him covering up with those big gloves, then dropping bombs on guys, that obviously wouldn't work in MMA. I honestly just think his MMA striking is average, he has really bad defense and is also quite slow. Big Foot didn't even look slow last night, remember when he fought Cormier? He made him look like a mummy.
Werdum wasn't close to KOing Alistair, you're right. But I remember Werdum connecting a few times quite cleanly, Alistair would do his typical cover up technique without moving much, Werdum should have gone for broke, but he didn't, just butt-scooted his way to a loss. Werdum was an average striker at this stage of his career too.

He looked much faster then bf, of cormier is pretty much a lhw of course hes faster.
I still maintain that people put waaaay to much on blocking not working in mma. It works fine, but slipping is just better. And mostly reems k1 defense didn't fail him last night not defending did. He got hit with his hands at his waist and people start yelling that covering up doesnt work.you wanna know how i did it, this is how, i never saved anything for the swim back.

He actually got hit while covering up, he can't handle punches even while covered, the breeze from a near miss punch is enough to rock him and then he drops his hands and loses all functions. Much like the Chuck fight, only much much more devastating.
You guys all knew this beforehand, we pointed out all the facts, but you chose to ignore it.
