20 rep deadlift? thats REALLY high reps man. if done correctly deadlifts should be a good 6 reps 4-5 sets and your sore as hell for a week. Do rows two times a week.
if you're able to do deads 3 times a weak you're either using wrong form or WAY under weighting yourself. Thats building tolerance/tone not mass. Mass first then tone.

thats a endurance workout you have going on, i used to do that in HS took me a year to gain strength to match those who past me in 6 months, but the bonus was i could out rep them at 20% weight lower.just got out lifted with that low rep big weight.
try doing 7 reps 5 sets with a higher weight (just make sure your form is right)
if done correctly your ass wont be walkin correctly for a few days.
also your back is one of the slowest healing parts so give it some real good rest.

Higher reps for rows
I personally tried both high and low reps for rows and found higher reps with a moderate to heavy weight gave me bigger wider lats
I'd start with
3 sets bent over rows 12 10 8
3 sets lat pulldowns 12 10 8
Increasing the weight by 5 lbs each set
Strict form was the key as oppose to jerking the weight and not arching your back correctly
Cheers
