Do what feels best to you. Personally, I'd do as Ortmayer recommends and ditch the squats, at least until you have experience by running it through one time completely to see how you respond. (Always makes sense to trust the guy who devised the scheme, IMO.) If you are going to keep squats in there, make sure to put it 3-4 days away from you deadlifting, and it couldn't hurt to change to fronts.
Oh, and to my knowledge there is no such thing as "Ort Squats" or "Ort Bench" as far as using the scheme.☠ By reading this post, you have agreed to my negative reputation terms of service.

United States of America?
I'm not saying it like it's a revelation, but some people really need to wake the f'k up.
If a natural disaster devastated Sydney or Melbourne and the federal government said "hey look, we need an extra $___ from everyone to to raise $? billion" I wouldn't think twice. If you care about your country, you do what you've got to do and help out in a time of need.

The only person I had heard using the ortmag scheme for lifts other than deads was manly. Though it seems that if the progression works for deadlifts it would have a good shot working for squats.
I have tried switching to front squats in the past but I still cannot get comfortable with the... Olympic style grip (sorry I do not know what it is actually called). It seems as though I do not have the flexibility in my forearms and triceps to hold the bar in that shoulder pocket without feeling like my wrists are going to break. I have been working on forearm flexibility but I do not feel comfortable using enough weight to get a good leg workout yet. Any tips?

Locked up in gun safe at home might have been the best place to control things.

Lemme pass on a little wisdom about America bro. There is NOTHING, I mean NOTHING united about us. You get it in the ass and you're on you own apparently. Right after the World Trade buildings were attacked I worked up there with Benny searching for anything, we found a few live, mostly parts of bodies. That was the ONLY time doing SAR work that I felt like I was a part of a team. It takes something dramatic to band Americans together like that. Natural disasters, people don't give 2 rats asses about, goddamn sad.

After that tornado hit Joplin, MO, in 2011, killing more than 150 people and destroying a good chunk of the town, there were people on the Internet suggesting that the victims deserved to die if they chose to live somewhere susceptible to tornadoes. When many of the survivors took residence in FEMA trailers after losing their homes, there were comments like, "well, people there should be used to living in trailers with government assistance, so they should feel right at home."
I grew up in the Joplin area. That event affected me on a very personal level. My brother's girlfriend lost her home. A co-worker of mine lost two of his grandchildren. Several other people I've known through the years lost their home and/or loved ones. It was disheartening to know there were so many people in this country that harbored negative attitudes toward people that had done absolutely nothing to deserve what happened to them, and could be so casually indifferent to their suffering.Last edited by mjw8204; 01-02-2013 at 04:05 PM.

I'll never understand that kind of attitude. Hurricanes, tornadoes, bushfires, flooding, snow storms – no matter where you live chances are you'll eventually experience a severe weather event in your lifetime.
We had some serious flooding across our state a couple of years ago and the way locals banded together to help others was great to witness, believe me.
The federal government also imposed a flood levy for the financial year following it for those who earned over $50K, which was $250 up to $100K and $250 + 1c for every dollar over $100K. Combined with various fundraising efforts the state recovered quickly.

Luckily we don't have tornadoes here very often, but when we do I'm one of the first on the scene. Benny is retiring this year, he'll be 11 in March and it's time to pass the torch to the pups. I do probably 10 swift water rescues as well as looking for lost people. Benny and I went to NOLA after Katrina as well, Bush should have his ass shaved with a broken beer bottle and mace for the clusterfuck that was the aftermath of Katrina.
I don't understand most of our countrymen and their you're on your own mentality, I really don't.
See, I wouldn't mind something like this, but here it's jack up your taxes and piss it away on sorry SOBs that are too fukn lazy to get off their asses and work. Damn little would EVER find its way to the people and infrastructure that really need it.

Home (and somewhat set up) at last. With her being two weeks early we weren't as prepared here at home as we wanted, but it'll do.
Grandma is here. No fever still (been checking all day), but she does have a little bit of a cough (coughed twice since we got back over an hour ago). She won't be interacting with the baby anytime soon. Right now baby is in our bedroom...and will probably stay in here for awhile...and grandma is not. We disinfected everything she might have possibly touched and are being a bit OCD with the hand sanitizer (some 'baby' formula of hand sanitizer)
I'm fukking hungry. Ordered pizza. Should be here soon.
I lost 5 pounds.
We have one of those velcro swaddle things. It's badass.
No, having the most effective means of defense I can possess on me is better. At least IMO.
A gun left at home doesn't do us much good. I don't own a magic eight ball and my psychic powers are limited. There is a chance that, at some point in my life, I might need (or greatly benefit from having) a firearm. There is absolutely no telling when and where that might be. But at any rate it's my/our choice to make, and we made it. You may choose differently, and that's fine.
PS: Keep in mind that the hospital was 30-45 minutes away, and this isn't the Jetsons/Futurama, we don't just instantly fly between points A and B in a tube, so the entire trip in between...and stopping for gas and food and dog food and stuff...is also relevant. And I made that round trip like 4 times at least

Thanks for the replies.
I used Gaspari's Superpump (regular, 250 and max) for years and I like it, but I'm looking to switch. I only use the supplement twice a week or so on certain days, so I'm leaning towards either trying C4, Assault or Craze, all of which have great reviews.Bodybuilding is 60% training and 50% diet. Yes that adds up to 110%, because that's what you should be giving it. Change the inside, and the physique will follow.

I've not used a ton of PreWOs, but I've had original formula Jack3d and Amino Energy. I must say though, chugging a 16oz Rockstart about 15 minutes before working out did more than any PreWO I've used.
I thought my heart was going to explode and I was going to sweat out my insides, but I was not tired in the least.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #56 ▪█─────█▪
