how many oz of nuts do you eat in a day?

    and what types?

on weekends i watch myself, but i don't really follow a rigid diet and generally will eat what i please...within reason.

during the week i like to go for 8oz of mixed nuts during the week (walnuts, cashews, almonds, pistachios, peanuts). mix them all up in a tin, add a little cinnamon...half the nuts are usually honey roasted.

gives me tons of energy. i used to be all about cereal in my yogurt or cereal with fruit...but its all about the nuts (no homo....strong no homo)

also emerald cocoa and cinnamon almonds are more or less epic.

f*ckin love nuts. flavored nuts (i.e. blue diamond BOLD), sweet nuts (i.e. Emerald Cocoa), jumbo cashews and brazil nuts take the cake, but I love 'em all. I've eaten a whole tin of planter's mixed nuts as a snack. If I could I would eat several cans of blue diamond BOLD nuts every day.

seriously, they taste amazing and i've noticed that i have a sh-t ton of energy since i've been consuming them in serious quantity. i've also added some mass, but i'm not noticing much of a difference in my body's composition. i'm pretty sure not all the weight i've put on is straight muscle but it sho feels that way.

I like all kinds, nut scampi, nut gumbo, bbq nuts. Seriously though, I try to keep nuts and nut butters at around 8 oz per day combined, but some days goes up to 16. A 16oz bag of Trader Joes 50% of the sodium Cashews lasts me 4 days. Walnuts and pecan a little longer. A bag of pistachios or Marcona almonds is gone in minutes. Macadamia nuts don't make it to the checkout.

1-2 oz Emerald cocoa roast almonds - I buy in bulk @ Sam's Club.

Sometimes I'll eat them with some WW bread as an almond sandwich. If you use the right bread, it tastes a little like a chocolate donut.

Post Oz. of nuts per day.

It is best to eat 1.5-3.0 oz of nuts per day according to general nutrition though most people will not do it. I love them too and the way I handle them is I eat a whole can in a day once a month and drink lots of water with them keeping other nut consumption spread evenly throughout the month. I am 165 pounds and decently lean. They have not caused me to gain any weight and will sludge up your digestive track because of all the fat turning your feces into clay if you eat them heavily too often in large quantities. Things to seriously watch are selenium poisoning, potassium overdose, digestive blockage, constipation, weight gain, and low blood pressure. If you start getting blurry vision and not being able to think quickly and clearly that is from potassium which can cause arrhthmyia of the heart, problems with smooth and skeletal muscle contractions, hyperkalemia, and death. Eat them responsibly and you should not have any arising medical probelms enjoying their great health benefits. See you around.

Honestly, sometimes none, sometimes a few ounces. I never really depend on whole nuts as a daily thing. But if we're counting peanut butter, then everyday I have about 2-3 tbsp.
