    bench press for fat loss

    Ive been doing a bit of barbell for a while now for my chest, im looking forward to put on a ton of muscle and also lose some fat on my chest, now i know that anything with a barbell is stict-size workout and that it will pretty much get me bigger and stronger, but is there anyways bench press will be good for fat loss, or is that Dumbell bench's job

    well, i have a huge amount of muscle on my chest tbh, but im REALLY focusing on burning the excess fat, think the bar is still worth it?

    You are refering to spot-reduction, which doesn't exist. By doing BB bench press or any kind of bench press you will gain muscle in your chest/triceps. If you want to lose fat you will burn more calories running.

    You CANNOT burn off fat in a certain area by working the muscles in that area

    fat loss comes from a caloric deficit. so you either eat less, do more cardio, or a combination of the two.

    both barbell and dumbbell exercises can, and should, be implemented into your routine. many people cycle them, barbell for a month, dumbbell for a month, etc. the barbell will work more at hitting the large muscle group. the dumbbells will work your stabilizing muscles, those not usually able to be seen, etc. they are both beneficial.

    @OP:

    If you have any questions about what kind of routine you should be on to achieve your goals, this would be the time to ask those questions

    Well my routine for chest is good for now, and I know I can't do spot reduction haha, I run alot and swith out my cardio so tht I get a good variety, I was just wondering if bench press will only make matters with my chest work, but if u insist on keeping barbell/dumbbell in my workout or chest then I will, I've been doing it so I'll keep on
